Pick 'Em Pete

Writing Topic(s):
Email Pick 'Em Pete

Pick'em Pete of Cleveland Frowns is a Native Northeast Ohioan who lives in Akron, and works in Cleveland, loves our towns and our teams, is tired of them being crapped on, and is optimistic that there's a less crappy future ahead for them (and us) all. Pick'em has a summer birthday, which made him sad as a young child, because he couldn't hand out invites to his birthday parties at school like so many of the other kids. Notably, the closest he ever got to handing out invites like this at school was when, with a little over 5 minutes left in the 1987 AFC Championship Game, his mom said he could have a "kids party" for the Super Bowl if the Browns made it to the big game. Pick'em's dislikes include curses wrought by angry Native American ghosts and NFL owners who care more about their soccer teams than their NFL teams. His likes include salty foods and NFL point spread analysis, the latter inclination being so strong that we suppose it's why we've not yet been able to pin him down on a last name.
