Evidently, just some facial owies.. http://trunc.it/3m352No word yet on whether the guitar case in the passenger seat contained a shotgun.

Has some face lacerations, otherwise he is OK supposedly and has been released. If you are driving in reverse, out of your own drive way and only hit a fire hydrant and get face lacerations I can only conclude you have something in his hand while driving, something that could cut your face....

 Re: Tiger Woods, car accident
Hopefully the cuts weren't from when his wife allegedly knocked out the back window to extricate him from the vehicle.

 Re: Tiger Woods, car accident
don't you just love rampant, unchecked media speculation??? always building people up only to tear them back down again the first chance they get. case in point - tiger woods. the man has led a perfectly pristine life that obviously just makes the media insanely and overtly jealous to the point that since they have had no dirt on this guy whatsoever for his whole existence, they now have to resort to manufacture it artificially (remember when they tried to say they had x-rated photos of elin that turned out to be fake???) and this car accident just gives them even more means to do so.
2:25 am??? the bars all close at 2:30 so then it certainly had to involve alcohol, right??? wrong!!!
next up, domestic violence. tiger beats up his wife and then leaves the house in a fit of rage, right??? wrong!!! elin, obviously concerned for the well being of her husband bashed in the rear window of the suv with a golf club, pulled him to safety out of the vehicle and was hovering over him trying to revive him. not exactly the actions of a battered woman. if anything, she would have bashed "him" with the golf club, not the suv, if that were the case.
next up, tiger's having an affair with some socialite in australia. puh-lease!!! tiger is first and foremost a family man, thick and through. just look at his entire history with his own father and mother and how he so vehemently chastised the media over the fake photos of elin. he would have to completely deny himself to ever resort to such behavior. i seriously doubt that was the case.
what's next, tiger was having withdrawals from "roid rage" and needed to go see his local dentist for a prescription???
hey news media, i have an idea, how about just reporting the car accident and leave it at that??? it was an accident. nothing more, nothing less. no alcohol, no domestic violence, no sordid affair, no juicy back story for tabloid fodder. just an accident. sheesh!!!

 Re: Tiger Woods, car accident
Honestly dave, the most logical and likely real world scenario is the alcohol and wife argument story.
Think about it, he is a human being like the rest of us. He is a virtual billionaire, he has everything he needs, why would he need to leave his house at 2am?
Got into a big argument with the wife, had a few drinks in him already, said F this, hopped in the car, wife spasmed and bashed the window in with a golf club, he backed up, crashed, LE gets involved, Tiger says or implies it is worth their while to keep this hush hush.
Maybe maybe not, but it sounds as likely as any other BS we are going to hear as the explanation in the next month.

Actually, publication of the story of the affair predates the crash.

I'm saying if you were a billionaire you'd have what ever it was you needed, or would have paid/told somebody to go get it, at 2am. Tiger might be the greatest golfer ever but it doesn't mean he is impervious to strange behavior when he is bombed. Oh wait next thing is you (or somebody) is going to tell me he doesn't get bombed. He might be better than me on the golf course, but obviously he is not better than me at getting the car out of the driveway when a bit drunk. Where is my prize?

I've been out of town the past four days so I'm just catching up with this story now. To me, the "she broke out the back window to save me courageously" story seems like a bunch of crap. Here's photos from the scene. The driver's side door appears fine. Why did she have to bust out the back window to drag him out? http://www.tmz.com/category/tiger-woods/

She would not bust out his driver's window to possibly further injure him.

She would not bust out his driver's window to possibly further injure him. Certainly plausible. But if she had to run back inside to get something to get access to the car, why not grab the spare set of keys? Or bust out the backseat passenger side window, reach in and unlock all the doors. I've never owned (or been in) an Escalade so I don't know for sure, but most of those types of SUVs don't have an "unlock" button for all the doors right on the inside of the back door, do they? So she'd have to climb into the vehicle through the busted out window up to the front and then unlock the doors.

 Re: Tiger Woods, car accident
The latest out of Tiger's encampent: Quote: "Tiger comments on current events."
I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.
Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.
But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.
Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.
I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.

Look at Tiger, blaming the media pressure.
If you don't want the tabloids pestering you about banging women who aren't your wife, than don't bang women that aren't your wife.
The best part of this thread is Lubber actually buying the "Norwegian model wielding 5 iron breaks out back window to free husband" story.
C'mon Lub. Surely you jest.

 Re: Tiger Woods, car accident
I misunderstood the original information about which windows were clubbed out. I thought that the rear window was clubbed out, but it appears from these photos............ http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/ye ... iger7.html(photos 7-10) ....that it was, in fact, the back passenger windows that were busted out with the club. That said, if she really was hauling him out of the vehicle then why bust them out on both sides? The windshield and front windows appear to be fine. Possibly his face was cut up from the glass flying from the backseat windows??? The Smoking Gun also has 20 pics and the 6-page police report of the incident which includes a diagram of the path of his Escalade. Hey Tiger, that pedal on the left is for the brakes. If you press down on it, the car slows down and eventually stops.

 Re: Tiger Woods, car accident
A great point was brought up today about the sad nature of this story, in regards to people saying the feel sorry that Tiger has to go through with this with his family (or they feel sorry for the family).
When you trot your son or wife out on the course on your famous walk up 18 for one of your historical finishes you yourself have erased the privacy lines in the sand. You cannot have it both ways, introduce your family to the world when your golf career is steam rolling ahead with success but then ask for completely and unconditional privacy when something like comes along in which you took your family problems outside of your own home.

 Re: Tiger Woods, car accident
Ouch. If Jesper ever gets his tour card back this could make for some interesting pairings or clubhouse discussion: Quote: In the most critical comment from a player, Jesper Parnevik said he owed Nordegren an apology for introducing her to Woods. She once worked as a nanny for the Parnevik family. "We probably thought he was a better guy than he is," Parnevik told The Golf Channel from West Palm Beach, Fla., where he is in the final stage of PGA Tour qualifying. Police said Woods' wife told them she smashed out the back window of his Cadillac Escalade SUV with a golf club to help get him out after he struck a fire hydrant and tree. "I would probably need to apologize to her and hope she uses a driver next time instead of a 3-iron," Parnevik said, adding that he has not spoken to Woods since the accident. C'mon Lub. Surely you jest. Was not buying anything Pipes... Just merely pointing out that it was the smart move to make rather than busting the driver window if indeed he was unconscious and the doors were locked. So Tiger is chasing Nicklaus's majors, and chasing tail like Arnie used to do in his PGA days (pre-TMZ)

 Re: Tiger Woods, car accident
So the latest is that the authorities arrived at the scene and Tiger was snoring, which means he must have been sleeping. WTF? Yet the same story describes the scene as Tiger's wife and possibly others being at the scene already. So they go out to help Tiger (not having a clue what is going on) and they don't wake him up during this process.
This story is so messed up, not much making sense regardless of which person version you buy into.
