http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4392828Quote: Louisville coach Rick Pitino told police that he had consensual sex with and paid for an abortion for the woman who has been charged with trying to extort him, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported on Tuesday.
Karen Cunagin Sypher was federally charged in April with demanding cars, tuition for her children and finally $10 million. Police interviewed Pitino, who is married, regarding the incident last month, and according to the newspaper, he said that he gave the woman $3,000 to have an abortion. Does Louisville play at Lexington this year? That should be a fun time for the Pitino clan...

Strange story, find it even more strange she married the strength coach... Pitino's sloppy seconds, nice work buddy.

No woman is worth the headaches that would come from this. Good point. Cheating when married is always a headache... cheating when married, a famous college basketball coach, and being extorted is a brain aneurysm

She is batshit crazy, IMO, by what I have gathered. Her eyes give it away. Probably, a perfect one night stand type of gal, for a regular ham and egger. Not so much for a fellow in the limelight, like Pitino. Makes me wonder how much tail, Pitino nailed in Lexington, during his run there. Probably, Legendary.

Stay hot Rick. That's the best part of the story... IN A RESTAURANT. Classic stuff, Rick. Had to be half a bottle deep into Johnny Walker before taking this broad back to the "closed section" and working her in an empty booth as a couple of busboys pass by giggling on thier way to the kitchen. Closing time...

Pitino held a press conference today. He seems to be cracking under the pressure. I don't know how to embed the video from this site, but if you like train wrecks, it might be worthwhile to click the link and watch the madness. http://kentuckysportsradio.com/?p=26697

What an odd press confrence. Was it just me, or did he look drunk? I'm not sure attacking the media is the best idea.....

This guy's such a jackass. His first press conference he helps to explain cheating on his wife by citing how 9/11 had just happened, and now he's asking us to leave him alone because the economy is bad and Ted Kennedy died.
i love how he ended it, "the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's office don't go after jaywalkers".
Huh?

Huh? Quote: 'Extortion', outwresting, or exaction is a criminal offense which occurs when a person unlawfully obtains either money, property or services from a person, entity, or institution, through coercion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extortion

Huh? Quote: 'Extortion', outwresting, or exaction is a criminal offense which occurs when a person unlawfully obtains either money, property or services from a person, entity, or institution, through coercion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extortionyes thank you. i know what extortion is. This was a 6-minute rambling press conference which suddenly ended with a quote about jaywalking and a prompt exit. That was the point of the "Huh?" But your attempt at clarification is appreciated.

Not sure why Pitino's legal team would allow him to say anything. I have never seen the guy so out of sorts, sad really. If you don't want the media to be all over you and your family, then as a married man, you probably shouldn't be all over some lady with questionable ethics who is not your wife. I hope people aren't feeling sorry for him.

Not wanting to start a new thread, but today, Pitino visits Rupp Arena at 3:30 p.m.. It is almost always a great game between these two teams, and today the John Wall factor should lead the Cats to victory, but one of the most interesting developments, is not the game itself.
There has been damage control all week by Coach Calipari and the UK administration. There is fear, that many fans will get out of hand, with the coat hangers, blonde wigs, and other props to take an attack at Pitino and his personal life situation. Security is doubled up, and they are confiscating any and everything from fans, who are entering Rupp early today. Anyways, it should make for some interesting viewing in addition to the game today.

Two takes today on college hoops: #1 John Wall, if you haven't seen him play, make arrangements to do so. He is a tremendous basketball player. #2 Purdue is pretty doggone good, took apart a solid WVU team yesterday.
