Talk about a column I can relate with. In this week's edition of Moot Points, Hiko takes a look at why he hasn't stopped smoking cigarettes, digging deep into his youth, retracing the steps of how and why he became a smoker ... and why he is still a smoker today. Hiko also hits on the departure of Charlie Frye, and the guy that might be the #1 pick of the 2010 NFL Draft.

The Weekend Wrap
Twas a busy Labor Day weekend in the world of Cleveland sports. We got to see Michigan's season ended three hours into the opening weekend of the college football season. The 17 of us with The Big Ten Network got to see the Buckeyes open the season with a workmanlike 38-6 win over Youngstown State. The Indians took two of three from Chicago, beat Johan Santana AGAIN ... and the Browns cut down to 53. Brian McPeek hits on all of these events in The Weekend Wrap.

You just never really know which direction Hiko is going to take "Moot Points", and this week is no exception. In his latest edition of Moot, Hiko talks about some of the nuances of being a father of two girls aged four and seven, Michael Vick, Travis Henry and his nine illegitimate kids, teen smoking, Michigan losing, the Big Ten network, and the Brent Musberger drinking game. "It's a foot race!"

We usher in the weekend here at TCF with Mitch's "Crystal Ball" and Hiko's "Moot Points" ... two staples of the site since our earliest days. In this week's version of Moot, Hiko reminisces about an old college project, Hannibal Lechter's role in film history, and even throws a couple late round fantasy football sleepers our way. And don't forget ... Hiko's new Browns column, "The Browns Outsider" runs every Monday night here on the site.
