Wire Hitting The Fan Archive Braxton Named Starter Against Colorado
Written by David Regimbal

After completing just four passes in a 24-6 loss to Miami last Saturday, head coach Luke Fickell and the Ohio State Buckeyes are making a change at quarterback for their upcoming game against Colorado.

Braxton Miller will get his first career start as Ohio State's quarterback, a move that was made after Joe Bauserman struggled immensely against the Hurricanes. The 26 year old senior completed just two of his 14 passes for 13 yards -- arguably the worst performance by an Ohio State quarterback since Troy Smith's 4/13 effort against Florida in the '06 National Championship.

Braxton comes into this Saturday's game against Colorado completing 10 of 16 passes for 152 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He has also rushed for 62 yards on 13 carries.

Although Braxton will start, Bauserman is expected to see the field against Colorado on Saturday. "It's time to give him a shot," Fickell said of Braxton. "We still know we need both of them."
