The Indians have announced the prospects who will be participating in their Winter Development Program this offseason at the Jak...uh, Progressive Field.  The players will be in Cleveland from January 17-22 and then head to Goodyear from Jan 23-29th.  Something tells me the fun in the Arizona sun when they actually get on the diamond will be a little more exciting for the players than the meetings in snowy Cleveland.  The program allows some of the top prospects in the system to learn from some of the best about how to become a contributer to the team at the big league level.  They learn how to deal with the media (and everyone hates the media), improve and maintain physical conditioning, and hone their mental and physical skills to make it at the next level.  Mark Shapiro started the program back in 1996, and it is well-regarded around the league as a great way to aid in the transistion from the minor leagues to The Show.  Here are a list of the players participating in the program this year:
