Wire Hitting The Fan Archive Bob Feller Transferred to Hospice Care
Written by Adam Burke

feller_clevelandOne of the best right handed pitchers in Major League history, and arguably the greatest player to wear an Indians uniform, has been transferred to hospice care for the terminally ill. "Rapid" Robert Feller has been battling a myriad of illnesses since being diagnosed with leukemia this past August. Feller, 92, led the American League in strikeouts seven times, was named to eight all-star teams, and did so missing a few years in the prime of his career to fight for the United States Navy in World War II.

Feller is the longest-tenured living member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Feller family.
