I am 49yrs old. You wouldn't find me holding vigil outside Lennon's apartment in NYC, but it was awful when he was shot.

I remember where I was when I heard the news- sitting in a college dorm room. A guy named 'Wick', a white dude with a large afro, walked in and announced it. It was such a shame, especially since Lennon had just come back out with the Double Fantasy album after laying low for years.

Many people learned the news from Howard Cosell during the MNF game that night.
