Meet The Writers
NBA Preview: Eastern Conference
The NBA season tips off Tuesday night as the Bulls/Heat and Suns/Lakers take the hardcourt for the opening night TNT doubleheader. Papa Cass is here with his NBA preview, tonight taking a look at the Eastern Conference. Heat, Cavs, Bulls, Pistons, Nets ... who does Cassano like in the loaded East this year? His Western Conference preview will post tomorrow night.

Hands down, John Hnat is one of my favorite writers ... and I'm excited to have him back in the fold with this piece. In it, John makes a good point: the Cavs won 50 games last season despite the fact that almost everything that could have gone wrong, did. In his '06-'07 Cavs preview piece, Hnat is optimistic about the season ahead of us. And unlike the misguided optimism some of us (cough ... me) had about the Browns, this is realistic optimism.

Daniel Gibson Impressive Thus Far For Cavs
Upon being drafted in the second round by the Cavs, few gave Daniel Gibson much of a chance to see any meaningful PT this season. However, Gibson is turning some heads in training camp, and along with fellow rook Shannon Brown, making a serious push to get some floor time behind starters Eric Snow and Larry Hughes. In my latest, I take a look at a kid that many Cavs fans don't know much about. A kid that could be the heir apparent to Eric Snow at the point.

Time To Gear Up
T Minus 12 days till the home opener. We've got some pretty sweet "Witness" t-shirts available in the Swerbs Blurbs online store. These are high quality, very nice t-shirts. With "TheClevelandFan.com" right below the word "WITNESS" in small print. Instead of supporting the huge conglomerate out of Oregon otherwise known as Nike, support The Blurbs right here at home in CTown!

The Legacy Of Jim Paxson
Jim Paxson was not a popular man during his time with the Cavaliers, and was the butt of alot of jokes amongst Cleveland sports fans. In his latest, Erik Cassano looks at the Paxson era, and argues that alot of the moves he made helped set this next regime up for success. And that the words "Jim Paxson" shouldn't just be relegated to being the punch lines of jokes.
