Tribe fans got a glimpse of what the future may look like last night as the Indians beat the Mariners 1-0 behind a HR from the newly acquired Shin Soo Choo and the second straight shutout for young phenom Jeremy Sowers. Last night also was the Indians debut for young third base prospect Andy Marte, who was called up from class AAA Buffalo before the game.

Last night the Tribe dealt first baseman Ben Broussard to Seattle for outfielder Shin Soo Choo. Choo is a major league ready outfield prospect that was having a very nice year for the Mariners AAA affiliate in Tacoma. Choo will join the Indians big league club immediately and see time in both left and right field. All the details on this deal, and the ramifications for the Indians are inside.
