Swerb's Full Two Round Mock NBA Draft

After weeks of wrangling, I've finalized my mock NBA Draft, which represents how I think things will go down this Wednesday night. The Cavs have three picks. #25, #42, and #55. My prognostications have a player that I am very high on falling to the Cavs with their first selection. A guy I feel can help this team this year. In the second round, there figures to be a host of intriguing names still on the board, including a couple guys that fill big needs for the Cavaliers.

With the NBA Draft just one week from today, it's time to crank up the coverage. The Cavs have three selections this year, including #25 overall. With needs at point guard and in the frontcourt, which direction will the team go in? Fine Cuban

In this follow up piece to his column earlier this week, Papa Cass makes the claim that more owners need to be like Mark Cuban as opposed to acting apalled at his courtside and spending antics. Cassano also sees some paralells with Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, and sees bright futures for both the Cavs and the Mavs with their young, deep pocketed owners.

Finally ... The Finals

For the first time since 1971, two teams that have never reached the NBA Finals before will battle it out for the title. Additionally, if the Heat win, it will be the first time since 1972 that the NCAA (Florida) and NBA champions come from the same state. In this column, Papa Cass looks back at the history of the NBA Finals as well as the teams that have yet to get there.
