LeBron Is On The Clock
At midnight on Friday night, the Cavaliers officially offered LeBron James the most money they legally could under the NBA collective bargaining agreement. A 5 year - 80 million dollar extension to his present deal, which ends after next season. Now ... LeBron is on the clock, and Papa Cass lays out the pros and cons to Lebron if he were to sign the extension on July 12th, which most people expect him to do.

Ferry's First Draft
Papa Cass takes a look at Danny Ferry's first draft of any significance here in C-Town, and likes what he saw. Cassano endorses the selection of Shannon Brown, and like me, feels he may turn out to be an absolute steal at #25. He makes the case that Brown gives this Cavs team alot of what they lack, and his athleticism is welcomed after years of picks like Langdon, Diop, and Mihm.

NBA Draft All Around Enjoyable Last Night
I'm still euphoric over what I felt was an incredible draft by Danny Ferry, Mike Brown, and the Cavaliers front office last night. In my latest, I hit again on Shannon Brown and Daniel Gibson, and make the case that last nights draft was phenomenal television. With just five minutes between picks, recognizable names, Knick Fan melting down all over the place, and a little stand up comedy from David Stern ... I found the draft to be an all around enjoyable viewing experience.

Finally. The NBA Draft. Tonight. I haven't been this excited for the draft since the Reagan administration. Will the Cavs use their two second round picks to move up in the first? Which point guards will be available at #25? In the last piece of his pre-draft installment, Papa Cass lays out what would be his ideal draft for Danny Ferry and the Cavaliers.

Cavs Land Shannon Brown
Well, the Cavs got the guy I wanted, landing Michigan State guard Shannon Brown with the 25th overall selection. In this immediate reaction piece, I give my thoughts on Shannon and break down his game for curious Cavs fans. I love what Shannon brings to the table, and feel he has the opportunity to make an immediate impact with our beloved Cavaliers. In this reaction piece, I applaud the Cavaliers for the selection and break down Brown's game for curious Cavs fans who may not have had the opportunity to see him play in college.
