One Step Up, Two Steps Back
If the Browns team that opened the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers wasn’t the best barometer by which to judge them, then neither was the game last week against Cincinnati. Instead, says Gary Benz, the true measure of this team seems to be the jumbled ball of confusion and contradictions that lost against Oakland Sunday afternoon.

Heroes & Zeroes: Week Two
Browns fans headed into this past weekend's game with the Bengals watching with one eye open, fearing another embarassing home performance coming off the heels of the stinker versus the Steelers. Instead, they were treated to an offensive spectacle as the Browns posted 51 points and knocked off the heavily favored Bengals to go to 1-1 on the season. In this regular weekly feature here at TCF, Nick Allburn looks at the Heroes & Zeroes from Sunday's win.

Twin Sons, Different Mothers
In Gary's latest, he takes a look at the trial and tribulations of the two star assistant coaches (Romeo Crennel and Charlie Weis) from the Patriot dynasty that won three Super Bowls in four years earlier this decade. The Browns Outsider
Hiko went to a Browns/Bengals game, and a Texas Tech/Hawaii game broke out. We dispatched our talented columnist to Cleveland Browns Stadium this week, and man did he like what he saw. And in this week's Outsider, Hiko gives us his usual quarter by quarter, drive by drive breakdown of this past Sunday's game ... taking breaks for humor and analysis along the way.

Random Thoughts: Browns - Bengals
It's Mitch Time again here at TCF as he checks in with his regular Wednesday afternoon edition of "Random Thoughts". The play of Joe Thomas and Eric Steinbach on the left side of the line was absolutely dominant, and it didn't get by Mitch, who says he hasn't seen holes like that opened up since ... well ... ever. And of course, Mitch gets his jabs in, with Direct TV and the announcing duo of Bill Macatee and Steve Buerlein receiving the brunt of his angst.
