Running Backs, Anyone?
Nick Allburn is back in the fold for us here at The Cleveland Fan, and is one of an array of talented writers we have lined up to help coevr the Browns for us this year. In this piece, Nick expresses his concern over the lack of a contingency plan at running back behind Jamal Lewis, who has been riddled with injuries over the last couple of seasons. Training camp starts one week from Friday, can ya believe it?

It’s early July, the Indians are fighting it out for first place in the American League Central and so, naturally, all anyone can talk about is whether Brady Quinn will be signed before training camp begins in a few weeks. A holdout is starting to appear imminent, but Gary Benz tells Browns fans not to worry.

Charlie Frye Is Still The Guy
Just about every single Browns fan I've talked to this off-season is thoroughly convinced that Charlie Frye is no longer the guy to lead this football team. And makes the case for Charlie in his latest column.

News From The OTA's
Once known as "mini-camp", the Browns held their first OTA's (organized team activities) this past week, and 'ole Mansfield checks in with us this morning to update us on what the heck happened there. Mansfield's takes are as raw as they come, which we love, and he gives his unabashed opinions on Braylon no-showing, the quarterback competition, Joe Thomas not working with the first team, K2's progress, and the defense being ahead of the offense.

The Horse Latitudes
Let’s face reality. Ain’t crap happinin’ with the Browns from now until training camp. This time is basically vacation. With the salary cap increasing, the June 1 releases just aren’t what they used to be. All we are left with until the frenzied signing period just before training camp starts in July is the calm before the storm. We’re in The Horse Latitudes of the NFL’s season without end.
