Is It Marty's Fault?
If you didn't feel bad for Marty Schottenheimer yesterday, you are inhuman. Once again, Marty lost a close playoff game with a legitimate Super Bowl contender of a team. Marty has now lost nine playoff games by a TD or less. In his return to the Blurbs, Jesse Lamovsky takes a closer look at those nine games, four of which happened with him as the Browns coach. Have these losses truly been Marty's fault? Jesse investigates.

With yet another NFL post-season sans the Browns now unfolding, Gary Benz takes the opportunity to take a look around the league at a couple stories related to former members of the team. He starts in Denver, where the Broncos defensive line of ex-Browns was their undoing. Gary goes on to poke some fun at the old Browns team, the offensively impotent Ravens. Lastly, Benz takes a look at the two ex-Browns head coaches that faced off yesterday. Future Hall of Famer Bill Belichick, and the beleaguered Marty Schottenheimer.

It's Moot Points time again here on the Blurbs, and it's going to be tough for Hiko to follow up last weeks column, easily one of the funniest and most controversial columns in the history of this website. This week, Hiko rants on the commercial during NFL playoff games, American Idol, Jeff Fisher, Marty Scohottenheimer, and the AFC and NFC Championship Games. Hiko also delivers the long awaited update on his septic tank, and his weekly "Haiku About Someone I Hate". CAUTION: Not for the easily offended.

Ole Mother Phil
Ole Mansfield is back. Finally. And per usual, goes yard with his latest piece. In it, he takes a close look at the tenure of Phil Savage, and wonders why he gets a free pass from the majority of the fan base despite a miserable track record since coming here. After two years, 30 games, 15 draft choices, tens of millions spent on veteran free agent contracts, and two offensive coordinators, the team is neither any better nor arguably positioned to be better soon based on anything more substantive than hope.
