And Erik Cassano sees a slew of flawed options available at the top of this year's draft as well. Rich SwerbinskyIn an off the radar signing anticipated by no one, the Browns signed nine year veteran cornerback Kenny Wright to a three year deal late Sunday night. Wright played last year with the Redskins, struggling after taking over the injured Shawn Springs starting role, but played well the season prior as a full time starter for the Jaguars. The signing likely means the Browns feel they are longshots to land Eagles corner Roderick Hood, thought of by many as the second best free agent cornerback after Nate Clements, who signed for megabucks in San Fran. Rich SwerbinskyFor the second straight year, Phil Savage and the Browns have landed the big ticket free agent offensive lineman available in free agency, as the team inked Eric Steinbach to a seven year, 49 million dollar deal yesterday. Now, the team turns their focus to Antwan Peek (pictured), Roderick Hood, Shaun Smith, Kenyon Coleman ... and potentially Joey Porter and Adalius Thomas. Rich SwerbinskyThe Browns struck again in free agency Saturday night signing Texans outside linebacker Antwan Peek to a three year deal. Peek was a third round pick of the Texans back in 2003 and started a bunch of games for them at OLB before being miscast as a 4-3 DE last year and struggling as a result. In addition, the Dennis Northcutt Era came to a merciful end as well Saturday night. Inexplicably, the Jaguars gave Dennis 17 million dollars over five years (including a 4.5 million dollar signing bonus) to drop balls for them in northern Florida for the next half decade.
