Brutal day for me yesterday. Trying to make sense of todays board now.

Tournament is hard to bet IMO. I rarely ever profit. Yet, I seem to always do well the last couple weeks of reg season and in the conference tournaments.

This year, for about the last 6 weeks, when I've had good days, I've snuck $10-$20 here and there on Memphis (mostly at 8-1) and UCLA (most at 5-1) to win the whole thing. If either hits, I got a nice little payday awaiting.

Like Marquette. The PAC Ten is showing some holes, and if Marquette can score the ball they are the better team here. It's a big if, might be a money line opportunity to win outright. Lead will be watching that line.

I agree with both those. Especially if it's still UCLA +2 and North Carolina -3.

What's UCLA Moneyline number. That's all locked down at work for me.

Sticking with my initial prediction.

Memphis vs Kansas

Just locked in the Jayhawks at +3.5.

Memphis is -2 (-115). Hoping the extra hair falls off that deuce, or maybe it even gets down to 1.5 leading into the game. Still a little surprised Memphis is favored, figured it would be a pick or UCLA -1.

Bodog ain't giving me a money line option on Memphis right now.

Should be incredible games tomorrow, I am absolutely stoked.

We both understand the ultimate TCF gaming authority has yet to weigh in. Not sure what that guy has going that he's willing to cost us all money.

Lead's allegiance is to the window, not Ben Howland.

That being said, I think UCLA, which can be had at +2.5, is the play.

I don't like the Carolina game - UnLeaded.

Interesting dilemma I have tonight.

Been placing futures wagers on Memphis to win it all for the better part of the last 3 months. In total, I have about $140 in bets out there at an average of about 6-1. Some from earlier in the year at 8-1, some from the last couple weeks at 4-1 and 5-1.

They win, I collect $843.

The smart play would be to bet $850 on Kansas +2 and hope for the middle. A one point Memphis win and I collect both bets, a total of $1700. And I can't lose. I'm walking away with $850 regardless of what happens.

But I love Memphis in this game and am inclined to go for the jugular.

Lead Pipe? Anyone?

Talk some sense into me.

The big play is to bet the $850 on KU and hope for the middle.

The Smart play is to bet the $140 or $150 (whatever the total cake you laid out on Memphis) on Kansas +2. That ensures you're covered if KU wins. You can still middle it there as well.

One thing I keep looking at? The game opened with KU -1.5.

The line went overnight to Memphis -2. That's a big jump.

I've been to Vegas a few times. Those books and hotels are nice. I believe more in the houses that set that line than in the guys who bet it.
