Your Death Row Meal

Night before they do prisoners on Death Row, they get the meal of their choice.

What would yours be?

Mine? Big salad loaded with shredded mozz, Lawry's seasoning salt, red onions, and drenched in homemade vinagrette. Cavatellis, meatballs, breaded fried eggplant, garlic bread, and a couple canolis to wash it all down.

Since I wouldn't want my Mom to go through the stress of preparing her #1's last meal.... I will forego her homemade lasagna, with oil and vinegar dressed salad, and fresh baked bread and instead have a 32 oz Ribeye (Rare), King Crab legs, big baked sweet potato and tons of those sweet rolls they give you at Pickle Bill's.

I'm going to order a nice salad with bleu cheese dressing, veal scallopini over top of garlic mashed potatoes and a slice of key lime pie.

Couple fingers of Maker's Mark or Wild Turkey if they'll allow it and some strong french roast coffee.

A couple pounds of crab legs, dripping in drawn butter, baked potato with butter and sour cream and a huge slice of New York Style cheesecake with strawberries on top. . .after I ate all that stuff, they wouldn't have to bother with "carrying out the sentence", 'cause I'd be dead of overeating. . .

Funny question Rich, tough one b/c there are two ways to look at it

A) you want one last great meal to go out with

B) you can pick something that just might kill you

I would have some kind of pasta, some shrimp scampi, some great fish/shark or prime rib, a potato...and at least one gallon of Dairymen's Iced Tea.

...and since I don't smoke I'd ask if I could trade the cigarette for some int chocolate chip ice cream.

Either all that or I'd ask for an all you can eat buffet and eat myself to death.

edited to add: to this day the best meal I have ever had in my life was in Vegas, got comped by a pit boss for spending 9 straight hours at the same BJ table. Handed us a card with his signature and said go up to wherever, I forget the name of the restaurant, and get any thing you want, any problems tell them to call me...and the guy was a total dago. It was cool.

Steak-ums, fried in excessive butter with onions and green peppers, deviled eggs, and under cooked chicken wings in the hottest flavor avaliable. Wash it down with a couple of sixers of Mickey's hand gernades and let the fireworks from south of the border begin.
