LETS BOWL

Unread postby swerb » Tue Dec 19, 2006 10:11 am

REG SEASON FINAL

107-83-3 (+$439)

5* 1-1
4* 6-3
3* 10-14
2* 35-26-1
1* 55-39-2

BOWL GAMES

0-0 ( --- )

It's bowl time bay-bee. You gotta love gambling. Im ready to run through a wall for this Northern Illinois - TCU game tonight.

3* Northern Illinois +13

TCU is on an absolute roll, easily one of the hottest teams in all of college football. I don't have any stats to back this up, but history tells me that these type teams are always backed by 70% of bettors, and rarely cover their bowl games. The layoff does strange things to teams. Also, TCU feels shafted about getting this bowl assignment, and again ... those teams never fare well ATS in bowls.

Northern Illinois on the other hand is happy to be here after getting the shaft last year, and not getting a bowl invite despite a winning record. This is a good team that underachieved this season, and will look to make a statement against the heavily favored Horned Frogs. Garrett Wolfe, after a great start, had a disappointing second half ... and I expect a big game from him tonight.

TCU 27 Northern Illinois 23

Huskies, lock em up ... 3* play ($60) to get this madness started.

BYU/OREGON Over 63.5*

With no score late in the first, this looks like a horrible bet.

There were ten dropped passes in the 1H alone.

I like John Beck as a pro prospect.

I don't know which is worse...Oregon's offense or their gold helmets. Maybe they should stop designing uniforms and start drawing up some ball-plays.

SJSU has been a cover machine this year. However, 1st bowl in a long time, those teams traditionally get a little swept up in it all and perform poorly ATS ... may be a little happy to be here.

Home game for NM, and they've played in this bowl before, should be much more comfortable.

Line opened at NM -6, and the public has pounded the shit out of SJSU.

Should be interesting ...

ECU was the best bet in all of college football this year.

10-2 ATS this season.

South Floridas the better team though, and coming off a really impressive win at West Virginia. ECU got smoked in their own crib by West V.

So Fla - their only losses this year were legit. At Louisville, at Cincy, and vs Rutgers and at Kansas early in the season in games they really shoulda won.

I don't like to keep taking all these favorites but I think this CMU team is pretty solid. From what I have read they are extremely motivated to play in this game. I don't know much about MTSU except they are a mediocre team from a dogshit conference.

I stepped right in a bear trap tonight. This game is almost over the total of 39.5 at HALF! Florida State and Miami always bone me. You never know what you are going to get with these two sorry ass teams.

Under was a sucker but you still called FSU. Keep it up Yargs. If I wasn't such a degenerate loser betting on NBA games which I have no clue about betting wise, I would be up a nice chunk of change with your college plays. Don't let this under side track you, we need you (or at least I need you) for the stretch run.

Rice/Troy and FSU/UCLA are the only 2 to go over the posted total

K State is a Jekyl and Hyde team. They've played some great games, and have looked like absolute dog shit in others.

Rutgers should be fired up tonight. Schiano is staying, its their first bowl in eons, and I expect them to play well. They are the clearly better team, and I look for them to come out and play with the same energy as they did in the Louisville game.

Still ... layin a TD with Rutgers in a bowl game is a little unnerving.

Small play.

I love Oklahoma State. Alabama is a mess right now. I'm concerned about Rutgers being one dimensional vs. K-State. Their QB is too shaky. And the last time Cal was in the Holiday Bowl they didn't show up and got waxed by Texas Tech. All that being said...

All Big 12 for me today

I like The 'Pokes coach Mike Gundy. He's gonna be a great one. He has some really good skilled players and knows how to use them.

The punt return was bad enough, but the fumble on the kick-off was just plain dirty. Well, I need an OSU touchdown in a bad way. No doubt that OSU was the right play. But the right side doesn't always win.
