Anyone know of any good bars to go to for New Years Eve? Looking for something either downtown or on the westside.

My couch will be the happening place, too bad that there will not be anything worth watching when the ball drops. New Year's Eve shows are NOT what they used to be, nowadays most of the artists performing are those I have never heard of. I will be lucky if I make it to midnight.

Isn't that the truth. I remember when they used to have the "Rockin New Years Eve" show, they always had a good rock 'n roll band on to perform, now all you get is that hip hop or rap crap, notice I didn't say music?
I myself will be spending the evening at home, since I will be up quite early for work on New Years Day.

The "injured guy" was injured attempting to do a backflip in a baja-style truck. Dude overshot the ramp and broke a couple bones in his neck/back.

I would not want to be the tools who had to clean up and set up the cardboard boxes he landed in each time he tried the jump.
The guy who tried this is also a well known Drift racing driver.

Gotta give it to ESPN for not over-hyping this thing.
(Only thing missing was an intro by Vince McMahon.) I mean, it's now clear to me that this guy and his feat are up there with the greatest "athletes" and epic performances of all time.
