Mayweather to MMA???

Unread postby Guest » Sat Dec 22, 2007 9:16 am

Why not?
He's proved he's the best boxer in the world.
Him and Mark Cuban became buddies on Dancing With the Stars and Cuban runs an mma organization.

It'll never happen. Floyd is far too concerned with his looks and his health, both of which can get ruined fighting MMA.

My guess? He'll take maybe one fight, against some submission specialist also ran, to help promote and draw attention to this endeavor he's involved with Cuban on.

Even more likely? He'll drop hints like this that he may, to draw attention, and never enter the cage.

Bottom line though, the chances of him becoming a MMA regular are nil. He gets paid 15 million a fight in boxing and doesn't even get hit.

15k?
That might not be enough to cover the medical expenses.

I've got insurance. After Uncle Sammie I'd take home 8k. Buy a big screen for the basement and give the rest to the fine people at Visa.

Ive been thinking about joining a gym for a while now, I have always liked mixing it up, but I have this propensity for horrific sports related injuries.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.
