Sub shops in greater Cleveland

I love subs it's just that simple, however I am lazy enough that I resort to the over abundance of Subway's and Quizzino's way too often for my sub needs.

Last week however that all changed as I stumbled across the best subs I have had in Cleveland.

Dave's Cosmic Subs.

I know of one location at W.150th and Detroit in Lakewood, I have heard there is one downtown and one in Westlake.

Seriously just try em, you won't go back to Subway or any other major chain again.

I had Dave's original and his Rock n Roll sub. They were similar but both good.

His shops are unique as well, very small (at least Lakewood location is) and he has them done up in 60' & 70's rock n roll memorabilia posters...Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Who, lots of guitars etc...with classic rock playing while you wait.

And I love Subway. Never did when younger, really taken a liking to it the last 5 years or so.

Big ass BMT or spicy italian, loaded with red o's, green peppers, swiss, lettuce, and all kinds of salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar. Yum.

Key with Subway is the bread. You get a nice fresh loaf ... all their fixins are always very fresh.

I used to deliver for the downtown location(my old company did it downtown) and good christ, what shitty tippers.

The sandwiches are just fine though. I like the original Dave. But they are Salads on a bun, that paper that comes with it is a necessity.

Good point, they could use a bit more meat to make it a better value b/c let's be honest subs are not cheap ANYWHERE...which I don't get, it's bread a lil meat and a lot of small veggies, subs should cost the consumer about 3 bucks.
