Great Lakes Christmas Ale

It's baaaack.

I love this stuff. Such a great taste. Strong but smooth. Phenomenal poured into an iced mug.

And a 7.5% alcohol, one of the strongest beers you can buy. Drinking four is like drinking ten Miller Lites, a fact I was quickly reminded of last night while watching the World Series.

Love everything made by Great Lakes. We take it for granted cause it's here in CTown, but IMO they make some of the best beers I've ever tasted.

For the last year or do, I've been on a straight rotation of Dortmunder Gold, Burning River Pale Ale, the Holy Moses White, the Christmas Ale .. and the Blue Moon beers. Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale the last month or so.

Great Lakes Xmas ale is by far the best year ever made. I was talking about how i couldn't wait for the xmas ale to come out in the middle July. I went to the beer store the exact day those babies were delivered. The guy at the cashier desk stated, "Its too early!" Too early? There is no such thing when it comes to this beer.

What i have noticed is that xmas ale is a ton better out of the draft. I know all beers are better out of the draft but considering how strong this beer is its alot smoother out of the tap.

I am totally hooked on this stuff. Such a great taste, and a solid buzz. Please ... do yourself a favor and pick up a sixer if you haven't tried it yet.
