One of Lead's mantra's is, make your own decisions. This game opitimizes this. Lead recommended this as his pro special (On his way to CRUSHING the book with a 5-2 weekend) by NOT listening to the experts, but using common sense.
everyone from several sports writers and commentators such as Emmith Smith were picking the Panthers because "Colts are coming off a Monday Night" and "Colts are going to be looking ahead to The Pats." OK, Maybe. Lead has seen enough of Manning and his leadership and desire to be perfect that these comments would seem debatable at best. But look at what is NOT debatable here.
1. A 98 year old Vincezo Testaverde is playing QB. Not to knock Vinny, but how many strats does he have in the last 4 years ? How old is he? How long has he been on the Panthers roster?
2. Name a good offensive player on the Panthers besides Steve Smith. And, no, the two mediocre running backs who get hurt every 10 minutes are not good. In other words, HOW MANY POINTS DID THEY EXPECT THE PANTHERS TO SCORE?
3. The Panthers defense, while good, is not game changing like it was a few years back when guys like Rucker was at the top of his game and Morgan was playing 100%. Peppers is a great player, but teams can focus on him now.
4. The Colts are BETTER than last year. The D is improved, Sanders is healthy.
How in the world was the Super Bowl a 7 point game last year, and this game only 6. How this game didn't open at at least 10.
Moral of the story, some times it's best not to overthink. It's really hard to find weak lines in the Pros, Indy and San Diego this weekend were two prime examples.
