I am not sure. I really think that barring a major break out in national publicity Robo should come back. I am not sure that he would be a first rounder although he may be the most NFL ready WR to come out of OSU since Glenn (except maybe Gonzo).

Robo I'll buy like any other skill player. I'd love him to return, but I can see where he goes, too. You can count on it if tOSU wins it all.

Booney is another story. Underclass OLers rarely do well in the pros and, in my view, Booney needs another year even if he looks like a monster stud. That's the nature of the OL.

That was a nice non-catch that he just didn't make at the goal line. Overturning that was horseshit. I didn't see clear evidence that he didn't have possession. Definitely a mark against replay. At worst he had possession and fumbled out of bounds.

Ohio State looked great in this game, definitely the #1 team in the country. Certainly light years beyond Boston College and looking better than LSU, etc.

It looks like the only serious threat to the Bucks getting another shot at the title is Michigan. I've said before that I think Michigan will be better prepared this year than they have been in the past, but Ohio State certainly can still win. UM will just be the biggest test prior to the bowl game.

They won't look past Wisconsin or Illinois and Michigan is the only one with the talent to put up a fight.

WOW!!!

It's the only word that comes to mind for this win. Didn't even come close to what I predicted, but I was a bit concerned after that 3rd quarter brain fart against Michigan State last week.

Ohio State put in the work this week, but they can't let up. Each of the next three games are going to be huge and I'm glad there are no light touches going into the TSUN game on the road.

The Bucks are stronger than I figured they would be. A much better balance to their game than I expected and their D is nails. I doubt if there is a team in the country that can put up more than two TDs on the Bucks at their best.

It is the greatest tribute to Coach Tressel, whom I am sure has drilled the notion of "unfinished business" into his Buckeyes.

I remember when The Coach was at Youngstown and his team lost the D-IAA NC to Marshall. The score was 28-0 before the Penguins scored their first point. By the end of the game, they had tied the score, but they left too much time on the clock and the Thundering Turd drove far enough to kick a game winning FG.

After that game, Youngstown went on to win 3 of the next 4 D-IAA NCs.

Coach Tressel is an extremely intense individual, but he is not a screamer and looks to praise rather than put down. But his intensity is the factor that everyone underestimates to their own detriment and it appears that he has most of the coaches in the Big 11 on the run.

Also, I think a lot of people gave too little credit to Boeckman as the starting QB. They cited too little experience under the center. But had "they" (probably the same douche bags that vote for the Heisman) been paying full attention, Boeckman gathered enough time under center last year that he was able to get a "feel" for the game enough to know how fast everything moves and what he would need to do to adjust. For me, Boeckman has been a revelation this year.

This has been a weird year and I am nervous about the remainder of the schedule. But I have no doubts after tonight that Ohio State can run the table and land in the NC for a second consecutive year.

At this point, I think the notion of "unfinished business" is the greatest rallying point for this team. It is the one thing that will keep them focused from week to week and is the one thing that will move this team toward the NC with a purpose and a drive that says that nothing can be taken for granted.

I thought OSU looked fantastic. The beat a team that is 18-1 in their home stadium and the Bucks are 19-0 in their own conference.

I don't care what conference you play in: Big East, MAC, WAC or even high school football .. that is very hard to do over three consecutive years.


I thought OSU was helped out by a few key "no-calls". Pass interference calls that could have went against them and changed this game a little bit. But they were clearly the better team, regardless.

Boeckman is going to make a fine NFL player one day. Crisp decision making and an ideal body type for today's NFL. Of course, a lot of players can look good with the way that line is blocking.

If you are a UM coach .. you have to be encouraged how the Penn State team was able to run the ball early on. Kind of odd, since the OSU D did such a good job against Michigan State the week before.

OSU's offense is loaded with even more weapons than last year and more versatile and thus less predictable.

Two solid TE's in Nicol and future NFL caliber TE in Sophmore Jake Ballard whose presence in obvious running downs prevents defenses from selling out on the run. Ballards TD's the last two weeks is case and point.

Ray Small is the home run threat the passing game needs so that defenses don't double up on Robiske. I just wish Tressel would leave this slow Sanzenbacher off the field and cutting into Small's playing time.

Hopefully Saine becomes more of a weapon now that he is back and healthy. I like what they did last with him and Beanie in the same backfield wich gives the defense something else to worry about. Eventually Boeckman is going to connect with Saine on a long TD pass out of that formation.

Boeckman still has a tendency to lock onto a reciever wich has been the reason he has thrown a few picks but its hard to complain about the numbers he has posted thus far. I don't think anyone ever thought TB would be this good this soon even with Rose colored glasses. Most people (Myself included) figured a ball control offense with Beanie and a Krentzel type passing game ala 2002 not the high octane/versatil passing game we are seeing this year. Boeckman is looking like Ben Roethlisberger during his college career.

Toxi, I think the reason Penn St was able to run the ball early, especially on drive 1, was b/c the Buckeyes seemed to be playing a real basic feel out the game type defense. JT does that from time to time in big games against good teams, I bugs me personally b/c it seems to allow a score 80% of the time.

Overall we looked very good IMO. I was not aware how big Boeckman was, 230+ WOW. Chris wells is just a god damn man amongst boys out there. WR's are surprisingly better than I expected and how can one say enough about Robo. He is so much better a WR than Ginn, only lacks the world class speed Ted had.

They still gotta win two more games, which if they stay focused and do not look ahead (or at the newspapers) they should do just that.

I hope they're focused solely on Illinois. This just isn't the year to look past anybody in any week.

And I'm telling you guys, I smell a rat this season in Michigan. I seriously will not be surprised of Carr announces his retirement on the Monday leading up to that game just to cap off the emotional week Saturday in the Big House.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him eventually replace Bill Martin as the AD and go on with his life.
