Anyone catch the pilot? I thought it was very strong. Love Billy Bob Thornton's performance. Apparently this is the only season it will have - 10 episodes, then done. I like that format. Have a story, tell it, then be done with it.

Agree on all fronts.

I thought the Pilot was incredible. Hand Billy Bob Thorton an Emmy right now, and Martin Freeman was awesome as well.

Well-written, acted, and directed. The nods to the movie weren't obnoxious and I like the different directions they took.

I know this will come as a shock, but yeah...I thought it was excellent. It was so great just having that crazy way of talking back in my life. I loved the movie so much, and I thought the pilot totally did it justice.

It was surprising too. You could see them building up to that basement scene with the nagging wife. I knew it was going to happen, yet was somehow STILL surprised when it did? "Holy shit, I can't believe they did it!" Delightful.

I think this is going to turn me into a Colin Hanks fan as well.

Colin Hanks was only in 1 scene, but holy shit what a scene. That whole "Here there be dragons" speech was epic.

I'm absolutely loving it. Lorne is easily one of my favorite TV villains ever.

And for those who watched the movie, how cool was that opening scene last night?

At this point, who's more evil? Lorne, or Lester?

Now that the boards are working again, now is a good time to point out they shit the bed with the "one year later" idea and once Lester forced himself on to the elevator for absolutely no logical reason other than "the writers needed this to happen," the show completely unraveled.

Plus the last scene on the ice was complete horseshit.

Oh well, at least we hadn't invested six years into the show.
