You can't keep a lizard alive in a tupperware container without making a few holes.

I have no idea what that means, but it sounds good anyway.

Mack's dependable, sign him.

Ward is good for the right money. If he wants Revis Island money, let him walk.

For Ward's entire career, he's been healty AND good for a total of about a couple of months.

Sure, he's playin well lately - but if he's gonna get big money I'd classify that more as "poor risk" rather than "I'm gonna shit if he's gone."

I'd let Ward walk all day.

Mack is different in that he's proven to be as durable, tough and smart as any C in the league while he's been in the league. Value to that for sure.

But Ward?

No thanks. Not sure if anyone's noticed but little safeties get hurt a lot when they do play and their big hit impact is dying with every new concussion protocol.

Sign one or both of them and win four or five games next year. Let them both walk and win four or five games next year. You can see what tough decisions these are.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Ward is a middle of the road SS, strong against the run and slow to recognize against the pass with poor coverage skills.

Which immediately makes him one of the best Browns safeties since Don Rodgers, who didn't last too long. So really since Tom Darden. He may suck, but he's our sucky safety. Keep him if you can.

Banner won't, BTW.
I don't need to be patient, they're going to be shit forever.

Ward is one of those guys that 'smart' GM's think they can find a dime a dozen off the street, until they fail doing it the following season. Then they have to waste a draft pick eventually.

Yeah, almost 0 chance they re-sign TJ, so assume that's a new hole to fill.

^^^^^ My points exactly. Ward is C+......and our best safety. We didn't sign anyone last year or draft one either any better.

So they let him walk.....OK?.....ANOTHER hole to fill in a secondary that can't hold water.

Have no worries, it will all be addressed in the new 5 year plan (last year didn't count since that was Chud).

5 years from now, you will *celebrate* the day they let Ward walk.

Then we lose a Pro-Bowl center. Maybe we just piss him off and "franchise" him.

I think all our Free Agents will walk after this weekend.

What will be really interesting to see moving forward is if whatever QB we draft pulls an Eli Manning. Could you really blame them?
