Browns we've booed?

Unread postby googleeph2 » Mon Dec 02, 2013 1:21 pm

I'm kicking around an article idea on this.

I am interested in showing comments (from you guys and others) in the article.

We have hated on some Browns over the years- What are your memories of them? Was the hate justified? Is your present-day perspective changed?

Bill Belichick
Andre Rison
Mike Phipps
Braylon Edwards
Brandon Weeden
Tim Couch
Tom Cousineau?
etc
etc

Would like your thoughts on each of these, and any others we have booed.
Why each was booed; was it justified; any stories, etc. etc.

I'd like to compile some thoughts for each player named, if I get enough response.

I'm curious how far back into history we can go with this- I don't think the Browns actually even had a bad season until the mid 70s. Could have been a guy who was booed before that anyway, but not anyone I can think of. (Who is the first Cleveland Brown ever to be booed?)

Thanks in advance! I won't use your name (real or forum) if you don;t want me to. You can PM me any time- If you want to tell me here that I have a PM, that works too! Thanks again.

Cue up the Willie Nelson...

I hated none of them. I didn't even know them.

They all deserved commentary on bad play. That's all it is; cheering and booing. People make way, way too much of it. Suggesting that calling a spade is a spade is hate is goofy.

I was very sick of Tim Couch at the end, but I think that was more fueled by the ridiculous Holcomb-Couch Discussion Wars.

I intensely disliked Braylon and Peyton Hillis. I loathed Doe Eyes.

Woulda booed Andre Rison if I'd been around while he played.

I think a lot more of my disdain goes towards Front Office types, though. They're responsible for subjecting us to these tools.

PS - Dwayne Rudd... Booooo!
It's only progress if you eventually get somewhere.

Although i was just a tadpole, I shamefully remember actually booing Leroy Kelly in his first season. His running style was way different than what we we were used to after watching J Brown.

Leroy quickly won me over.

These idiots we've been watching since 99 .......we are the Clowns.

Paul McDonald was one who received a tremedous amount of boos after taking over for Sipe
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB
