That is bad.

Hell even the Safety was confused.

Perhaps TR should consider looking for the Safety & running right at him.

Nice work FM.Bill.

I know today is not the end all be all of this trade, but there is NO question of who the better back for the Colts is.

Bradshaw looked really good last week, I didn't get all of the RB based panic.

Very Trent day for the Colts. 13 att for 35 yards, 2.7 YPC. Longest rush = 7 yards. And of course the Browns win, on the road, with a 3rd string QB and four 3rd string running backs. Can't even fucking tank correctly.

Tanking is over Boys, its the 2nd or 3rd best available QB option now.

What, 1-15 isn't a tank job? ;-) ;)

13 games left, but I do doubt they can be effectively bad enough to get a Top 3 pick.

Tanking might be over, losing however, is not.

You don't get 12 seconds in the pocket vs. good teams.

Script is already written..

We got the Lions next week.

No way in hell he survives that.

Better sign another QB.

Especially since his O-line hates him. He's toast.

We need another QB.

And yes, T-Rich is a bust. Womack was the reason he had success. Same as Lacy, tho I think Lacy is a much better back.

I read it somewhere and my "gag reflex" choked me out. It was a one liner . BUT they did actually name him as a possibility while ruling out Josh Freeman.

They did not mention anyone else.

How does he sound now? They should consult him before drafting an RB. (x)

Funny to see the comparison to Curtis Enis at the bottom. I've been making that comparison all year. I even put together the stats last week (now updated to include lats night's totals for T-Rich).

After his first two years, Curtis Enis played in 24 total games with 420 carries, 1,413 yards, 3.4 avg, 3 TD's, long run of 29 yards, 51 receptions, 360 yards, 7.1 avg, 2 TD's, long reception of 28 yards.

So far in his career, Richardson has played 22 games with 373 carries, 1,283 yards, 3.4 avg, 13 TD's, long run of 32 yards, 60 receptions, 437 yards, 7.3 avg, 1 TD, long reception of 27 yards

I take extreme issue with:

and was poached from Cleveland by the Colts in exchange for a prized first-round pick early this season

the correct phrase would be " and for whom Cleveland fleeced Indy's seemingly comatose pro personnel scouting department for a 1st round pick in week 3..."

Best you can hope for is a middle second-rounder for a free spirit who's one toke away from a 16-game suspension. Gotta keep him, keep an eye on him, and cross-a you fingers.

I get that, and I hope it doesn't come to that. But what the hell are they supposed to do? How long has this team been looking for a WR that is worth a shit? Since Webster Slaughter?

Dude is a legit first round talent and he is NOT easily replaced. Heck, even if you get a first for him and draft a WR you are HOPING that he has somewhat the talent that this kid seems to have and he doesn't turn into another Braylon.

I was on board from the beginning with trading TR because he is replacable. Any RB is, really. But not at WR. We've seen it here for how long now?

You trade players for draft picks because you are hoping to get something better with that pick. What second round WR do you think has a good shot to turn into Gordon?

I know this will sound funny, but we're actually in the position of power here. We HAVE Gordon, they don't, that simple. Gordon's value isn't going to diminish enough in the next 12 months that it will thwart our future efforts to improve if we don't move him now. Even if he were to be had for a 2nd rd pick next season that will not be a significant moment in this teams short term future in trying to be a playoff contender.

It's a no win situation since without past discretions and the resultant threat of year-long suspension, you don't even trade this guy for a 1st rounder since you'd just have to turn around and use that 1st rounder to get a WR of similar talent.

But he's a head case.

So either you hold onto him and pray he doesn't fuck up (and if/when he does, epic fail for not trading him when you could) or trade him away for way less than his field value (and if/when he lights it up for some other team and doesn't get suspended for 5 years, epic fail for trading him for peanuts).

One thing is for sure - if you trade Gordon, you can move that tank out of hiding and park it right next to Bagley.
It's only progress if you eventually get somewhere.

Well, I don't think you necessarily DON'T trade him because previous regimes haven't found WRs. There are literally scores of them in the league who are good players. If you use the logic that the Browns have spent a long time looking for talent at the _____ position you could literally drive yourself to the Purple Drank.

I do think he's talented. I also think we're in love with a flawed, talented guy because previous regimes have had their heads up their asses and haven't found us any talented, non-flawed guys.

So simple.

Trade him for the best offer, then send Chris Perez's dog to his new city and hook him up.

I say hold onto Gordon. If he dips into the Dank who gives a shit...suspend him for 6 games...get him into inpatient treatment with a training facility attached. Hire Garcia to throw him passes till next year training camp. We dont have anyone to get him the ball now anyway.

I would have taken J. Freeman with the same philosophy...only he could have ended up throwing it to Gordon in rehab and we wouldn't have had to hire Garcia.....just sayin.
