Rice to the locker room, but the Ravens aren't able to run - so this may help their game plan

This offense is hot garbage.

draft a quarterback
Draft a guard
draft a fullback.

Sorry, I got the score wrong. I said 14-9, because I assumed the offense would suck slightly less.

QB's have to be able to nail the pass to Obie, even still Obie needs to catch it, complete fail all around. Delay penalty, again fail, and in today's attention to detail game, just awful. Forced throw into quintuplet coverage is never good, but I'll give him credit, it was spot on, again a little help from the WR would be nice, but in the end you want that pass thrown in do or die situations only.

Then the closest first down measurement in modern day history, all b/c of a poor route run, just hilarious, yet totally expected.

Disagree on expecting the fully extended RB who's open by 25 yards to make that catch. And routes are precise. Cameron didn't cut the route off by yards or feet. He was the valve, the last resort, the get it to him and pray he can make a play option. Problem is resorting to that route and option time and again.

Oh no doubt the pass SHOULD have been made, I'm just saying when it isn't and it hits both hands, making the catch once in awhile would at least help the team out. There were at least 4 route run too short today, nit picking one isn't important. What is important is it was SSDD, and was scripted like a freakn Broadway play.

On the cover of the DVD which highlights the last 15 years of Browns football, I would think an underhanded 3 yard shovel on 4th and 10 late in the fourth would get high consideration.

Love the sequence where Weeds misses the throw to Obie a mediocre high school QB makes and follows it up with a delay of game penalty.

Lotta good delay of games following penalties and other dead ball situations.

And by the way, if the Browns deal Greg Little for Lobster Boy, they may lose some size and speed, but they wouldn't lose a thing in the hands department.

So I'm buying into the theory that they're pretty much going for one of those good qb's in the draft next year.

Lose as much as possible at this point. I'm not saying to not try to win against "X divisional Team" but this offense is bad.

Beat Pittsburgh, because that's a given. But you're not going anywhere this year.

Don't go for 7 and 9. Go for as bad as possible.

SSS, with that roster they don't need to go for anything. 7 and 9 is unattainable, no Mangini four game winning streak miracle is coming.

Right on the money dude... Tank Tank Tank is the name of the game. I'm in the small minority that actually thinks Haslem/Banner/Lombardi know what they are doing ( at least more so then any of Lerners cluster fucks did), and like anyone in AA will tell you, you got to hit rock bottom before you can climb out of the Darkness.
My gut tells me Clowney is still the pick , and we use up our stock piled draft picks to go after Boyd or Fales.

Clowny is no way a sure fire #1 overall, he's bringing too much attention to himself to bring about some questions right now.

Not sure what you expected. The Browns ran into a well oiled Ravens machine hitting on all cylinders today. Pretty much unstoppable.

OK, horrific O-line play aside, C+ receivers, 3 delay of game penalties ( 4 if they didn't call a TO), TR having limited vision, Weeds=Weeds, our D's shortcomings = 3rd down conversions in these first two games..........

I would love it if any of you stat geeks would check out on those 50% successful 3rd down conversions how many were at the expense of Skrine or somebody named Owens.....

So the power went out at our house in the 2nd quarter because somebody decided to drive into a telephone pole at the end of our street (Don't know if JB was affected or not).

I ended up listening to the game in my driveway while neighbors kept walking by asking "Is your power out?"

This "Captain Obvious" question was somehow less annoying than listening to Weeden continue to fail at QB.

And I'm starting to question the coaching staff when it comes to schemes. It's one thing to put plays out there that just aren't being executed, it's another to start making me think the playcalling is just part of the problem.

And Paxton is the best supporting actor of the 80's.

Weird Science still is the best -- "You guys couldn't get laid in a morgue. You puke, he dies."

Brandon has an ouchie

"I couldn't grip the ball, so I knew I had to come out," he said. "It really hurts. But the X-rays were negative."

The guy is such an easy target to hate, so I'll try not to pile on too much, but when was the last time you heard a QB say "it really hurts"? Wondering if he's disappointed the X-rays were negative.

Anyhoo, the thing that really concerns me the most is Jacksonville. Getting the #1 overall will be a challenge with the Jags in our way. I remain cautiously optimistic that this team will find a way to take suck to a whole new level. C'mon Browns - you can do it!

Not even through week 2 and already talking about the draft. Not only on the boards, but on national TV broadcasts of other games as well.

That has to be a record, even for the Browns.

I wish this were a viable option, but the Browns had the lead at halftime of both games and were in both for a good long while almost solely because they have a decent defense (secondary excluded). When they get Gordon back this week, they're gonna accidentally win a few here or there. Probably end up with the 6th pick again.

Sure. Who doesn't like Paxton? Chet, Pvt Hudson,...well that's about it for the 80's. But he's recognizable and he's been in a lot of stuff. But if you are looking for the obvious low hanging fruit here you should have just gone with Curtis Armstrong and been done with it.

Uninspired CDT. Uninspired.

For me, I'm sticking with Jacoby. One role. Iconic. The 1976 Mark Fidrych of 80's supporting roles.

But that's a preference and it is hard to argue against Atherton. That is a solid, solid choice right there.

The plethora of Manziel talk this morning amply demonstrates just how desperate this fan base has become.

LOL.

You should stick to favorite supporting actors of the 80s trivia.

Billy Jacoby FTW

Fuck you. Bill Paxton.

Sure. Who doesn't like Paxton? Chet, Pvt Hudson,...well that's about it for the 80's. But he's recognizable and he's been in a lot of stuff. But if you are looking for the obvious low hanging fruit here you should have just gone with Curtis Armstrong and been done with it.

Johnny Burns (BBT) quote from Tombstone just before being punked by Wyatt.

Paxton is the clear winner. Aliens, Weird Science, and a great role in the blah vampire movie Near Dark. The bar scene where he goes on a rampage is worth watching alone.

Low hanging fruit would have been one of the Coreys, James Spader, or Judd Nelson.

The FO should scout every single QB prospect potentially available. Including Johnny Highball.

Yes. They should scout every QB prospect in the country, and some overseas if they can find any.

I'm talking about the Draft-Manziel-In-The-First talk.

That's not exactly what I was hearing on my way to work. What I was hearing (before my ears started bleeding and blocking out sound) was that the Browns should tank the season so that they can get the first pick and use it on Manziel. Anywhere else in the first isn't going to do it.

I really doubt Manziel goes 1 overall. But really, who the hell knows?

The adaption of the spread will turn the world on it's ear. Manziel's feel for the college game is getting harder and harder to completely ignore. Even if one can buy in full spread adoption and game translation and setting aside physical limitations I could never build my franchise around that kid.

I think they should take 2 or 3 QBs in this draft. That's how desperate I've become.

Manziel runs around like a chicken with his head cut off and gets away with it because it is college. His arm is also doodoo. If he goes in the first round I'll laugh for a decade. There are anywhere between 4-6 guys I'd take before him.
