Week 3: Who you got?

Unread postby furls » Sat Sep 14, 2013 11:25 am

So I am 7-4 ATS thus far, and up a fictional 1065 YTD.

I feel like I have to pick someone in the 'Bama vs. aTm game, although I really don't know who I like. On the one hand, 'Bama was not all that impressive offensively against VaTech (that is putting it nicely) and 8 is a pretty big number when you are struggling on O. That said, Saban has had 2 weeks to gameplan for this game. The number to me seems wrong. Seems like it should be about 'Bama -3 which leads me to believe that Vegas is pushing money toward aTm, therefore, I like 'Bama. The line just seems too good to be true.

Louisville -14.5 400
'Bama -8 100
OSU -15 100
Oregon -28 200
Wisco +4 200

Decent B1G early slate today.

-Akron playing scUM reasonably well. I am sure scUM pulls away late as the depth sets in, but every minute Akron stays in it, the less intimidated they will be.
-BGSU vs. IU. IU may not be a good team, but their offense is interesting to watch.
-Nebraska vs. UCLA; pretty big game for the B1G perception.

UM fans and players celebrating like they won the Rose Bowl. 2:1 odds of Hoke ripping them a new one right about now.

Crazy play by Johnny before the half, should have been a whistle for in the grasp IMO, but he escapes and throws it 45 yards to gain 12. Even though it looked like he threw it 20 yards.

The PF for targeting on Bama's DB is God damn awful call. Horrible horrible horrible, but we're gonna see it more & more b/c they don't know what they are trying to accomplish with these new safety rules.

HAHAHA booth over turns it to a PI foul, like the Gary Danielson said, essentially admitting there should have been no call. :doh

'Bama is just housing Johnny Autograph and aTm. I was sweating this game at the beginning.... not so much now. I think the two best teams in the country right now are pretty clearly 'Bama and Oregon. I think OSU, Clemson and a couple of others are clearly a little behind.

'Bama vs. Oregon would be a hell of an NC game.

OSU vs. Clemson would be a pretty good bowl game too.

ATM is still alive thought, too much time left, they'll need to stop Bama here and score before the 7 minute mark of the 4Q though.

I also agree with Danielson, it's time to make the stiff arm to the face mask a penalty.

'Bama falling apart? Fumble inside the five, then give up a 95 yard pass going the other way? 14 point swing there! I hate Johnny Autograph. Hoping for an ACL tear.

Bama still the boss though, just having their way with the ATM D. No fumble no chance for ATM.

LOL, easy call on the sprint right option.

Wisconsin getting prison raped by the officials?

Worst call in the history of pro sports?

I see what you did there.

Stave should have just took a knee, and it would have been clearer. But even still, should have been a flag on the ASU guy laying on top of the ball. Lots of stupidity all over the place on that play.

Uhm, he did take a knee. Have you not seen the 85 pictures of his knee touching the ground with 16 seconds left? He took a quick knee and then set the ball down so the officials could set it as quickly as possible.

I did miss that. I watched it live, watched the replay at the end of the game, and didn't go searching after that.

H0ly shit, but as the author stated, Wisconsin hand the officials the loaded gun to shoot them with.
