Week 2: Who you got?

Unread postby furls » Sat Sep 07, 2013 12:43 pm

I haven't really looked at the rest of the slate today, but I will try to come up with some afternoon picks.

I haven't tallied last weeks fake score card, but I think I was up largely on the Clemson straight up pick.

I will say, Miami is looking pretty good early against the Gators. I am sure it is Urban Meyer's fault for leaving the cupboard empty with that ridiculous #1 Class he left FL in 2010.

So since, I got off to a late start this AM, and I am doing this at 1pm, I lose the ability to guess at the early games.. leaving only the afternoon and evening:

Oklahoma -21 vs. WVU: 200
GA -3: 200
Ohio State -28: 100 (I think Meyer puts up a big number today)
Oregon -24.5: 100 (UVA is not a particularly tough place to play and the afternoon kick helps with the time change)
Michigan -4: 400 scUM is just better than ND. If it wasn't scUM I think I would go higher.

I hate having this much chalk, but I just don't see a lot to get excited with on the underdogs this week. I think my favorite dog is probably WASU +15.5, but I don't like it enough to stake a pick at it.

Went big on Penn St early. Have OSU/SDST over 56 and Toledo +16.

Later ...

So Carolina +3.5
Michigan -4
Oklahoma -21
Wash St +15
San Jose St +24

Late to this party, but I had:

Cal/Portland State o64.5
Sam Houston St +48
Georgia State +11 (beat the closing line by 7 points and they got blasted)
ODU/Maryland o56 (lucky to get early number, only one that won as game ended 47-10)
Baylor/Buffalo o60
Tulsa -10
Ohio -8 (played it before Ohio got bombed by Louisville and line re-opened at 6, went as low as 4)
