Then Hall goes for 49 on a great play call and nice read by Miller.

Reason I ask is BG just kicked the crap out of what should be a good Tulsa team (they were good last year and returned a lot of key players). Meyer wasn't moonlighting back in Bowling Green was he? :partyers:

BG + Trip to Portage Co = Pain for BG.

Unfortunately I have no idea how good Buffalo is so it is and I am sure that OSU is making them look worse. Think about where Buffalo would be if Roby was on Neutz, playing much tighter on the line.

I have to say that this 1st quarter exceeded my expectations. It looks like Brax is doing everything he can to not run the ball and that is good. Pocket reps are great for him and will pay big dividends as the season wears on. I have to say, I have been really impressed with his throws. That throw to Philly on the deep out was an NFL quality throw, it didn't result in a completion, but he threw Brown open with great touch and accuracy. That was a TREMENDOUS throw. Might be one of his best throws at OSU.

I know how good Miami was, too last year. I wacthed 3 quarters of "meh". And that was a 12 - 0 team.

Urbs in effect. 100 point pace.

I love playing the young guys, that is the greatest recruiting tool there is. If you come and you can play we will play you. That is what top 100 kids want to see and hear. If you redshirt it was because you were not good enough. I love that.

Like I said, I don't know if Miller was throwing a way from the coverage or if it was an inaccurate throw. In the end, it was the perfect throw, i just don't know what the intent was.

Wonder if our new punter will get a game rep. Maybe they should punt on 2nd/3rd down in the 4th quarter just to give him reps.

That miss to Smith was Braxton's first bad pass.

That was an embarassing stone on the OL.

Kind of a weak call against Reeves and the C. Grant gets completely lost in coverage. If that is not his guy, I have no idea who is.

Farris is a big MoFo. I hope he can become a space eater. I am not optimistic that he is going to be a guy that makes a lot of tackles, but I think he can be a very effective 2 gapper, with him and Carter that is two guys that can line up in even numbered techniques. You could line Farris/Carter up in a 0, 2 or 4 technique.

I mean, I really like the intent, but Braxton has to see Mack literally smothering Dontre on that. You never make that throw.

Yeah, that is the danger with those outside screens, if they are read the play is over... unless you throw it anyways, then it is a pick 6 (as we just saw).

the second most Jordan Hallish TD ever (after the first one today). No cut required. Just run.

Still seen enough J. Hall. Hall did a nice job running to daylight, but there was a LOT of daylight. I want to see who is behind Hall right now. I want to see Ball, Elliot and Dunn.

If we see Ball first, I think that is indicative that Ball has moved past Dunn. If that is the case, I expect Dunn will transfer at the end of the season.

Jordan Hall is pretty serviceable for a dude that, if not for Pryor, would have ended up at Ball St or Toledo.

This ^.

This I think is without question the major question to be answered on offense this year. Braxton has ALL the tools, he can throw more than well enough, it's about that initial read, everythings flows from that.

It's also nice to see a health Jordan.

I wouldn't mind seeing that Mack fella in the Turd & Orange next year.

Curtis Grant. WOW. WTF happened on that play.

Dontre will be fine.

The pick 6 was just a goofy play.

Corey Brown on PR..... Yikes.

Miller is not really under any duress and this is a glorified scrimmage. That said, all the signs thus far are good. The question is will he be able to do this when the pocket is crashing down around him. I feel good about it right now, but let's hope that the old habits do not reemerge once the pocket explodes and a Spartan DL is about to pound him.

I don't want to sound negative, because Miller seriously looks like a Heisman candidate right now based on the improved accuracy and reads alone.

Plus how can you not like the Urban Meyer that goes for two as he has. Play these games like it's Nintendo and bully people around when you can. Loved JT, always will, but JT simply would never approach a game or a season like Urbs does.

That punt had about 45seconds of hang time.
