I honestly can't tell if you are making fun of Perez's intellect here on the two v. three words error above or if you're brain is finally starting to crash.

You need to go out right this very minute and watch Midnight Run. This very minute: I mean what else is on TV?

If you play two games of baseball, and you shut out the other team for 16 out of 18 innings.... then you'd think you would have won at least one of the two games.

If you play two games of baseball and score a total of three runs, you'd think you'd lose both of those games.

And in this case you'd be right.

Let's see if Salazar can pitch against the Tigers as well as he did against Toronto. We have no chance of winning the division this year, and never did, but the wild card is still a possibility if we can continue hammering teams like the White Sox, Twins and Astros and can also steal a game here and there from the better teams on the schedule.

I love how this board was crazy with traffic for game one, Perez blows a game and the rest of the series doesn't even get game threads.

Hey. I hate to admit it, but if the Tribe wins the next two, everything changes. The Tribe then can gain some momentum coming out of the series. They can persuade themselves they can compete with the likes of Detroit. They can tarnish the invulnerability of the Tigers. And we Tribe fans would be going ecstatic again.

I've been watching every game but, rules are rules - you don't start a game thread after a loss.

I started game 1 and we lost, so it was someone elses responsibility to start one for game 2.

Major props for Danny Salazar.

7 dynamite innings with 9Ks - you've gotta love that. Plus, he K'd Miggy all 3 times up.

I get that our bullpen is shaky at best, but why did Francona go back to Salazar? I don't think he's thrown 90 pitches other than maybe once.

This is a must win at this stage.

Boy this Asdrubal...my god. This is our fucking cleanup hitter? 0-for-6 tonight. In this post-PED era (hopefully temporary), this guy is nothing but an automatic out.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Despite the home run to Cabrera, I would still like to subscribe to Danny Salazar's news letter. Despite the results of this series, the pitching has been quite good I have to say. Detroit simply has a very nasty rotation....very.

We have to lead the league in 0-2 hits allowed. Or at least be pretty damn close.

I looked it up...Jeremy Bonderman was last an effective pitcher in major league baseball in the year 2006. If this game ends up a loss, I'm thinking 3 shutout innings by this guy is what I'll look at!!

What is so mother fucking hard about bouncing an 0-2 pitch or throwing it at eye fucking level?

Incredible.

Hats off to the Tigers. They are a much better team than us. I would be surprised if anyone can beat them come playoffs. They are just to strong an offense. With that starting pitching and those two BP guys...nobody will beat them.

I really hate that Drew Stubbs is up here and that the only other option is Mark Reynolds or a pitcher.

Options!! I thought it was cute the 7 spot went 0 for 6 with 6 strikeouts and Stubbs and Reynolds played zero role in that.
