Guy absolutely LOVES being at the field and on the mound....if the Marlins are gonna get good again, it's going to be riding this guys back.

I hope to GAWD he stays on the other side of the league (unless we somehow get him of course)

He'll be pitching for the Yankees in 3-4 years.

In defense of Ubaldo:

His ERA was 3.09 in June, 2.83 in July. He was due for a stinker. I think we've gotten a little spoiled by the starting pitching lately.

Also, if he pitched nine innings and gave up one run we still would have lost, so he picked a great time to have a bad game. How he pitched last night made no difference whatsoever to the outcome. What I hate to see is when the Tribe scores eight runs and loses 10-8.

Let's get back on the horse tonight. The Tigers have won six straight and the Rangers five straight so we can't afford a losing streak here.

Jose Fernandez hit his first big league HR in front of 30+ friends and family in his last start for 2013 and absolutely pimped the shit out of it.

McCann later confronted him at the plate and the benches emptied.

I want a Jose Fernandez.

It was a dick move to stand and watch it, although if you go to mlb.com and see the video, he and Chris Johnson were chirping at each other the inning before, so tensions were already high.

Any player in the bigs does what he did so overtly, they're gonna get called out and drilled, and rightfully so.

according to an article I read, Fernandez sought out McCain and the pitcher to let them know he didn't mean any disrespect and to apologize. Sounds like someone took to heart what was said to him in the dugout/clubhouse.
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

Stand there and admire it, son. No such thing as a cheapie in that yard. Fuck the Braves' whining. You don't want a pitcher to show you up? Don't let him hit a home run off of you.

Spitting on third base after jawing with Chris Johnson was a bit of a dick move. That's uncalled for. But, he's 21 years old and he learned from it.

There was shit going on all game long. Evan Gattis stared down a home run. Conflicting reports that Chris Johnson spit at Jose Fernandez first.

Whatever. Nice to see a kid like Fernandez. Tremendous arm, a set of stones, a phenomenal backstory, and arguably the best rookie season ever. And he never pitched a single inning in Double or Triple-A.
