Sux up 3-0 already. Rook pitcher is aces so far for Chi-town.

GD do I get sick of watching my team flail away at rookie pitchers.

And KaZmir is not on his game tonight.

4 innings of nothing against the rookie...... surely we can't get shutdown by another nobody?!

Not related to this game, but did we ever even try to talk to Liriano? Seems like he would have been a much better pick up than Bret Myers and I think cheaper?

Dunno, but the initial deal agreed between Liriano and the Pirates was 2 years, $14m until he failed his physical.

So, he wouldn't have been cheaper based on the initial negotiations.

In the end, after the failed physical, Liriano signed a 1-year, $1m deal with incentives (about an extra $4m) and an option for next year.

So, who knows, but I expect they were scared off by the initial 2 guaranteed years given to Liriano.

I'm really sick of blown calls going against us. That's three so far this series; last nights out at 2nd, the homeplate blown call earlier, and a pitch in the dirt that is called a strike directly leading to a pop-up.

I never ever seen a guy get squeezed as bad as Blue just squeezed Hill. He calls three of those pitches strikes ALL NIGHT. Both Tito and Hill should have a few choice words. I'd surely take the ejection right now.

I really wish that ball had gotten in the gap. I think Droobs may still even have had a chance to score.

Oh well...lets go Ryan!

Scrappy little team. Assuming the weather holds, I'd expect a giant walk-up crowd for $1 dog night + fireworks tomorrow.

They do seem to have captured a certain momentum. They have the body language of a team that expects to win.

I could have sworn the two runs we lost on the blown call at the plate and the screwup between Gomes and Kazmir on Konerko's dribbler would result in a 4-3 loss.

Than came Raburn. Wow.

And Gomes. Holy moley. That dude is white hot. It's like that streak Raburn had earlier this year.

Francona is pulling all the right levers, as usual. Even Chisenhall is looking relaxed and confident with the glove and his throws are unhurried and right on the money. And a great heads-up play to score from third when the pitcher got stepped on by Bourn.

Normally we get beat by these AAA call-ups making their first ML appearance. As usual, no earned runs in 7 innings against a minor league pitcher with a 4.06 ERA. But they still found a way to win with four straight two-out hits in the end.

Keep riding that wave, boys. Let's take all four from these Hose.

Not to change the subject from such a great comeback, but seeing on Twitter that Vinnie Pestano is very emotional and receiving hugs throughout the clubhouse. Move coming?

Don't count on it. They couldn't even pull 80K this past weekend with a good team in town and promotions.

This city may not wake up on them ALL YEAR even IF they make the playoffs.

A product of the casual fan tuning out when it "appears" the ownership donks off all its good players every time they get too expensive.

I'm loving the run they are starting to make......but I can actually name half the starting lineup, 75% of the rest of the people you talk to probably can't.

Lower bowl tickets are somewhat difficult to come across for tonight's game. This is a makeup game of dollar dogs and fireworks from the 3 a.m. Tampa game back in May. So a lot of exchanges are taking up good seats.

I know. We were kidding around...that's the standard response of the people who don't follow the team yet bitch about them never winning. They all say a variation of the same thing: "They never should have gotten rid of (or traded) Thome/ Manny."

My conversations about the Indians with people usually wrap up pretty quickly after I hear that line.

I'll never forget listening to my radio as a little kid on Opening Day when Rocky returned to Cleveland and hit a home run. Daddy Wags hit two and the Tribe was over .500 for probably the only time that decade. That was the highlight of my life until the first time I got...well, you know.
