Big, shiny, incredible visually and just fun for a summer movie. First movie I've done in 3D Imax and not regretted too.

Fun ass summer movie.

Almost a must at the theater though.

I'm a big del Toro fan but was kinda iffy about seeing this movie. Seems like cooler Transformers. A directorial nod the incredible Robot Jox.

And 3D can suck my balls and go back to being a novelty act from the 50's used to get loose chicks to let you get some over the bra boob action in your parent's Chevy.

I mean the plot is absurd, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it's fun as hell and just visually incredible.

Best giant movie monsters ever. Everyone was hyped to see what the Cloverfield one looked like years back and it sucked, these one's don't.

That's the upshot with del Toro, cool fucking monsters.

And Ron Pearlman.

Ron Pearlman is always awesome and Charlie Hunnam and the Asian chick in the leads don't suck.

Really one of the most fun summer blockbusters I can remember. Dark Knight Rises can shove it.

The fact that Grown-ups 2 opened to a bigger audience than this just shows how pitiful the marketing campaign was, because this is our American homage to Godzilla with giant robots thrown in.

That said, the Asian slant of the film was obviously done for international sales.

I knew as soon as I saw "asian slant" that someone was going to beat me to pointing it out.

Dammit.

I hate working.

This was my description to a fault in one of the other threads. Sit back and just have fun with it - definitely not meant to be a thinking movie which everyone wants or anticipates nowadays. I want more, even if there is nothing left to do with the story.

EDIT: Bolded part is a must. Even the best HD TV will not do the movie justice. Large scaled movie is meant for large scaled screen, or something like that.

You don't know me personally (do you actually know 10 people on this board personallY?), but anyway, I went and saw it this past weekend. Thought it was everything a summer "action" movie should be.

One question though.......are me and my friends the only ones that wondered how in the hell anyone thought building a "life wall" was a good idea? We were laughing our asses off afterwards at the thought.

Anyway, I appreciated the recommendations from everyone in the thread. Def a good flick.

So while we're waiting, and I'm afraid it could be a while, contemplate this!

I saw this movie last night. It was so good I watched it nine times in a row (which should satisfy the requirement).

I especially liked the part where the big robot knocked the monster into that building/bridge/structure and it fell down.

The callsigns/names are also the shizz - Gipsy Danger, Crimson Typhoon, Striker Eureka. Much better than Maverick, Jester, Merlin, etc etc. Ron Perlman blackmarket organ dealer FTW.
