Excellent stuff from Steele on the 2013 Buckeyes and the Big Ten:

Phil's takes are great. I love his magazines/previews. I doubt there is anyone that knows more across the entirety of NCAAF. He can converse about any team in ridiculous detail.

It is amazing how high the expectations are for this team. They are replacing 6 of the front 7 and the secondary was not very good last year (except Roby). At the same time, I feel like the expectations are on par with what we should expect because their schedule sucks. All we can do is hope the team can gel before their bowl game.

All true, but I've never felt worse about Phil's top ten. Texjas and USC especially.

And Florida State...all three are nowhere to be found in anyone else's Top Ten...which is not to say he's wrong.....

Those are real head scratchers. If he is right, I will have to give props, but I doubt Texas or USC wins 9 games prior to bowl season.

Hasn't anyone learned their lesson about FSU yet? Top 10 to start every year, when was the last time they won the ACC?

Last year, actually. Although the championship game was against 6-6 Georgia Tech due to sanctions against Miami and UNC.

FSU also beat NIU in the Orange Bowl.

The ACC and the B1G essentially bring slapping gloves to gun fights.

Gross.

I guess I should've looked that up. The ACC is wretched, although I think Clemson will be pretty darn good this year.
