Salazar looks good so far. Tribe can't convert on Dickie's mistakes.

Sucks that Salazar just lost out on pitching another inning, possibly two, in this start because dumbass Chisenhall isn't wearing sunglasses.

Pitch count coming up rapidly now.

Who is available in the pen today? Love to see him go 7, but 6 shutout would be nice.

Hell, keep him and put him in the pen. We need someone down there who can put the ball past a hitter.

Everybody but Smith should be available. I imagine Francona would like to stay away from Allen, but everyone else is fair game IMO.

M. Reynolds struck out swinging

I wonder if Yahoo sports has a hot-key for that line.

75 through 5. Does he get the 6th?

Season high in pitches is 89. He'll start the sixth. If he gives up a hit, he comes out. If not, they'll probably let him go to 90. Been a free and easy 75 pitches.

Umpire costs Salazar the no hitter. Fucking loser. Pitch was right down the middle.

16 whiffs for Salazar so far.

It's nice to finally be the team that gets a great performance from a relative unknown. I hope Bauer is watching this game. The kid is too smart that I worry he'll never get out of his own way and just pitch.

Good work by the plate ump, since the inning should be over. Simply incompetent.

It's time for robo umps.

At least the offense stepped up and got the lead so that Salazar could get the win if we do win. Chiz kinda made up for no sunglasses by getting the go-ahead run across.

Rich Hill since June 5: 14 appearances, 9.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R/ER, 6 BB, 12 K. 2.79 ERA, 1.03 WHIP.

Would like to see fewer walks, obviously, but that's not bad. 7 of 31 inherited runners this season have scored, which is better than league average.

Big K from Cody Allen. Now when Bautista hits a moon shot off Perez, it'll only make it 3-2.

Wonder if Bautista will blame the home plate umpire for falling down on a routine fly ball.

Salazar - Wow! I'd say he just vaulted ahead of both Bauer and Carrasco as our top pitching prospect. He kept getting ahead with the fastball and putting them away with the changeup, and there was nothing they could do about it.

I can't figure out why Hill has been so bad this year (ERA north of 6.00). He throws 92-94 and has a nasty curve ball that left-handers simply can't hit. As someone pointed out he's been better lately, so maybe he can still have a decent second half. We desparately need a reliable lefty in the pen.

Cody Allen strikes out the side. Same formula as Salazar.

Indians beat yet another Cy Young winner. Wish we could face them more often. It's those minor league pitchers up for a spot start that we can never handle.
