That fucking bum Bauer would be my long man in game 2. Let him come in when CC gets KO'd in the first inning.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Bauer will not be on the roster for game 2.... they'll make a move between games to send him down for a reliever - already confirmed that it will be Langwell on Twitter.

Fun game. I had just gotten out of the car as the top of the 2nd started, changed laundry, cleaned up dog shit on the patio, and it was 5-5. This is fun.

How many times have we been screwed out of runs by a ball bouncing over the wall over the last few years? Feels like it's happened a lot more than it should.

The plate ump for the second game has never been behind the dish before. What are the chances that Carrasco drills somebody early in the game, umpire overreacts because of his reputation, and our bullpen is absolutely torched today?

Might have to try and squeeze 3 frames out of Shaw here..... an 11 pitch inning will help that.

Tribe putting on a clinic

16 hits and 14 and we're not even 5 innings in?
Hope the sweet stroke remains for game 2

The worst ERA while getting somebody out was Joe Cleary in 1945. He gave up 7 runs in 1/3 of an inning for an ERA of 189.00

At least it wasn't THAT bad.

The most runs by both teams in a Doubleheader is 54.

On August 21, 1894, Boston (NL) 43 and Cincinnati 11, scored a total of 54 runs.

Also on July 4, 1939, the Boston Red Sox (AL) 35 and the Philadelphia A's 19, scored 54 runs.

The record for 1 team in a Doubleheader:

August 21, 1894, Boston (NL) 43
The AL record is 36 by the Tigers on August 14, 1937

We've got a long way to go, but that's lofty.

Today is really going to test my staying power.

It's already 12.30am and this one has at least an hour and a half to go with a whole other game to follow. I know it's Saturday tomorrow but, there's a pretty HUGE rugby game kicking off at 11am that I HAVE to watch.

Pitched from the stretch from the start for some reason. Couldn't throw strikes and when he did they were hit har. Just couldn't control anything.

Tito's Indians sure play a sloppy brand of baseball. Does anyone else get the feeling that 14 runs aren't going to be enough to win this game?

- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home

I have a feeling that up and in pitch to Reynolds just awoke a sleeping giant. He might get locked in now.

What the hell was Viciedo doing there?!

Perez to finish it I guess..... That would leave Hill, Langwell (assuming he's activated between games), Smith and Pestano as available pen options for game 2 (I doubt they'd use Perez in both games of a DH just back from the DL).

Casper Wells on the hill. Touching 91. Impressive. Apparently was a pitcher at Towson.

Pretty good tilt on that breaking ball.

For those who can't read lips, Kipnis said "MOTHER FUCKER!" when De Aza caught that ball.

If you read Kipnis's lips as De Aza made that catch, he said something like "Oh Darn"....... or perhaps it was "Oh mother fucker"!

I guess Kip isn't happy with a 3-for-4 night.

I assume Albers gets the win..... when the starter doesn't go 5 it's up to the official scorer to pick the most effective reliever.
