Led out of home in cuffs by MSP, arraignement pending any moment and the Pats just flat out cut him. A lot of teams have deep sources inside the law enforcement circles (I wonder why) and I have a hard time believing Pats would just cut him over obstruction charges though I could simply be very wrong about that because they typically don't suffer fools.

But not a good day for Hernandez.

Do you think the Browns have those same insiders to figure out Walcott's situation?

I'm sure they do. Given they employ an ex-FBI dude as head of their security.

Might also explain why they already released him.

Well, Urban has to stop telling TEs and H-Backs they can "be the next Hernandez" if they come play for him. He's only told about 10 kids that in three years already.

Frankly I'm impressed that they caught him. When you read about the case and the timeline of what happened, it seems like the plan was almost foolproof. Fuckin' Lex Lutheresque. Take a bow PD. Job well done.

So punching a guy is attempted murder now? I know the guy is in critical condition, but I've seen quite a few punches thrown where the intent was not to kill.

He must've said "I'm gonna kill ya!" as he clocked the dude.

I don't know what was more entertaining about the Hernandez situation to me today: Watching the Patriots go from two quality tight ends to zero in the space of a few weeks, or seeing that arrogant, smug look on Hernandez' face while the prosecutor laid the whole case out.

An innocent man PROBABLY would've been weeping in frustration at that point. This dude just figures he'll get out of it because, FUCK YOU I'm entitled!!!

Sooner or later it will sink in that stupid, Neanderthal head of his that his boys likely are turning state's evidence on him. And you can't really ever delete text messages or phone transcripts with the right warrant. At the very least, the "NFL" text by Odin puts him with the victim minutes before the murder.

No way he gets out of this without time based on what's out there right now. He'll have his chance to paint his own picture but it better address some of the video, text and circumstances that seem pretty damning as of this moment.
Playing here is the closest thing to heaven. Really, I mean it's amazing to be in a place where the fans truly cherish their football team and stick behind them win or lose. We players love them, too. I feel a sense of accomplishment playing here, we are a special breed of football players with a great opportunity." ~ tOSU LB Brian Rolle

Innocent people don't destroy their cell phones and security systems after one of their "friends" is killed. They must have witnesses, for it to go from a obstruction charge to a 1st degree murder.

He is now being investigated for another murder from last year.

"Law enforcement sources confirmed to ABC News that Hernandez also is being investigated for his possible involvement in an unsolved triple shooting in Boston that left two men dead last year. On July 15, a car was ambushed in Boston's South End, and two gunshot wound victims were pronounced dead at the scene, sources confirmed to ABC News."

can't judge r&r by top40 either

Since I'm reliably at least a year behind, I'm looking forward to some new-to-me Kendrick Lamar after listening to samples recently.

But a decade of hip-hop that includes Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, MF Doom, Ghostface Killah (the solo version), and a host of others who were established before the 00s that continued to make good music throughout the decade, that isn't a decade of hip-hop that sucks.
Q: What is the best/craziest location you've ever gotten lucky A: Mens room. Death Valley. (Fire Marshall Bill, 08/13/10)

...doesn't mean we cannot call you a spade when you are one. (donnyunitas, 10/21/09)

Plus it's kinda personal for me... I have a lot of family and friends who are Ducks... (angrybeaver, 11/08/09)

Said this when BB signed him. Only coach with enough juice to get that thru to TT was BB.

Wetzel just kills Hernandez:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--forme ... 37563.html

This isn't a crime of passion. This wasn't an instant decision or accidental shooting. This was cold and calculated, a grown man with a $41.1 million contract trying to settle some juvenile sign of disrespect in the most pathetic way-of-the-street imaginable.

Hernandez isn't from a troubled family. He isn't from a terrible neighborhood in Bristol, Conn. He isn't a young kid. He's had a support system available for years and years looking to help him with whatever emotional issues he was dealing with – his football value made everyone want to help.

Instead he was involved in incident after incident, the final one, the state says, is this indefensible homicide. A punk execution of a friend for talking with the wrong people? It's almost unfathomable, the kind of crime an emotional teen would make, not someone of means and even moderate maturity.

... So Wednesday, there was Aaron Hernandez – "NFL" – standing unfazed in a court room listening to the evidence against him, his whole life on the line now and his ability to catch footballs is no longer able to save him.
"Great minds think alike. The opposite is also true."

"None of us is as dumb as all of us."

Not practicing very good trigger safety there. He's not careful he could kill someone.

Rule #1

Never put your finger on the trigger unless you intend to pull it

I think it was just yesterday I saw a story where some nitwit and his wife were doing the same thing in a mirror and he shot her in the head

...and I wonder if this is a beginning to the end of extending contracts too soon?

Like that douche bag has any concept of trigger discipline. He probably shot the guy holding the gun sideways like a retard.

Rule number 2: insane athletic ability doesn't mean there is a single redeeming quality in a human being.

I live in Florida and for those who think that OSU is going to get clean cut athletes over the next few years, you are in for a surprise. Except bad stuff surrounding some players.

Could care less as long as they wait until their NFL days to get caught killing people.
