Iguodala opts into FA

Cavs need a wing who can defend but I don't know if he's the kind of guy who could pair up well on offense with Kyrie. Also is a tad old if the Cavs are looking at building a championship caliber team in 3 years.

I'm assuming Denver gives him a 5yr deal and he takes it and runs but would anyone be upset if the Cavs offered him a max?

How else would someone get him? He's been in the league 9 years so his max would be 16mil, right? I'm assuming Nuggets will offer less per year but give him a full 5 years.

That contract would be a team killer. Iggy is good, possibly the best perimeter defender in the league but can't shoot and would be yet another slasher on a team full of slashers. Not to mention that guys that can't shoot at his age who rely on athleticism to be defenders/slashers age VERY quickly and suddenly.

Not to mention that it would affect the teams cap flexibility going into next season....

He's maybe a couple years away but to eye's point, he's the next Gerald Wallace when it does go.
