Z-Mac to DL, Carrasco called up and starting today

Unread postby dazindiansfanuk » Sat Jun 08, 2013 11:49 am

Masterson pushed back to tomorrow.

So, it would appear that Carrasco is appealing his suspension at least for today, then he'll accept his suspension after tonights start and be able to serve the full 8 games without disrupting the rotation due to off day next Thurs.

Clearly, the right course of action for McCallister is to chop off that troublesome finger and get him back for the stretch run in August. But the dumbasses in the front office won't do it. Keep repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

Over/under how many more pitches it takes to bean a guy for Carassaco. This is immediately after Fielder hits the 3 run double.

I say over/under 2. I'll take under

Wow, can we try to package this guy in a trade deal or something? He looks way too timid out there like he can't handle the majors. I don't want any part of that. This is pathetic.

If you want to play over/under...How many runs do you think Texas will score in the next series against this fucked-up pitching staff? I've got it at 35½.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Package him a deal? That's already been done beautifully by Philadelphia. I doubt if anyone would have much interest now.

I keep turning it off and turning it back on five minutes later! It's like watching a six month long train wreck. You know the eventual result but you just gotta see how it plays out.

If I need cheering up, I pop Major League into the DVD player.

At least last year's team had the decency to wait until AFTER the All Star break to completely unravel.

With Santana, Brantley, Reynolds and Swisher all slumping at the same time and with ACab on the DL, the ability of this team to score runs is shot. They got nothing in the middle of the lineup at the moment. Not to mention McAllister and Rage on the DL with Cabbie.

And this during the most brutal part of the schedule.

That Texas series could get really ugly.

The Tribe needs Masterson to step up today.

I'm still liking Yan Gomes more all the time. That was a nice at-bat in the 9th when he fell behind 0-2 and fouled off a few pitches until he got walked to put the tying run on base. Unfortunately, Raburn and Aviles couldn't take advantage.

Francona said Carrasco is going to be "special" once he learns to pitch inside to right-handed hitters. Hope he learns soon.

Problem is that because of his stupidity, he's got a reputation and can't pitch inside as effectively as other guys can. If he goes in there and hits a guy, especially in a somewhat questionable spot, he won't get the benefit of the doubt.

If you are "special" nobody needs to say a word about it.

Replace "Special" with "Jesus H. Christ, perhaps if this guy could work the inside edge he may develop into a fourth," and you'd not necesarily have Francona's quote, but you'd have his thought.
