Unread postby Pabo » Tue Jun 04, 2013 8:06 pm

Tribe offense off to a quick start with one infield hit already in three innings. Kazmir submitting to the dark master here in the third. Yanks average almost 8 runs a game against the Tribe and 3.67 runs a game against everyone else.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Is it safe to say the magic spell has worn off of Scott Kazmir?

Pitching continues to get annihilated by one of the worst Yankees lineups in recent memory

We shouldn't get worked up about the pitching. No expectations there.

The Yankees are simply doing something most MLB teams do: they are taking advantage of pitchers' mistake pitches.

Meanwhile, the mega-contract guy hitting cleanup for our team continues to suck out loud. Until he starts hitting like he's PAID to do, this lineup will have a gigantic void in a spot where 98% of MLB teams run a stud out there each and every day.

He may be a rah-rah, keep-the-clubhouse-loose type of guy, but that shit gets old real quick if you aren't producing and/or failing to live up to your contract.

If they...anyone expected him to be a 3, 4 or 5 type of guy on a good offense, I think you'd be sadly mistaken. Making matters worse is moving him to first base - where his career standards on offense are not doing you much good at a supreme offensive position. Yes, today's scenario is better than one involving Casey Kotchman, however, if you wanna have a G-O-O-D offense, well, moving Swish from a corner OF spot to first, and then filling that spot with Drew Stubbs, isn't all that great a start.

That being said, I wouldn't put all this on him, cause he is what he is. This seems to heralded here as some sort of monster move - and to a degree that take is understandable cause they don't ordinarily blow the dust of thier wallet - but really, Nick Swisher? Differencemaker? Four hitter?

And his personality get old no matter what the hell goes on, but get me a douchebag that can PLAY, and he can be a douchebag all year long.

Let's go Tribe! Come on it's now or never because you're most likely screwed against Rivera.

Why did the umpire attempt to throw Aviles out of the game? It was over.
