No thread so I figured Why not? No line-ups since the game is starting - plus that method worked for quite a nice run for bookelly. ;-) ;)

Kasmir vs Lester

After half an inning the Tribe led 1-0 after Lester used 15 pitches on 4 batters.

After a full inning the Tribe STILL led after Kasmir faced 5 batters, putting the two leftys on via walks, and using 26 pitches.

I don't know how that happened but I'll take those kind of results every inning, although a few more runs for us and a few less baserunners for the Sux would be muchly appreciated!

Loving the tail away from righties on Kazmir's fastball.

If you had Scott Kazmir in the first balk of the season pool, congratulations, you win!

Yeah that pitch to the outside to righties has some corkscrew type movement on it

Second time through the order, he needs to throw that pitch on the inner half. They'll make the adjustment to it and start going to RF. So he should adjust and bust them in with it since they're be cheating and diving out over the plate. Just don't miss over the plate too much.

Good job of blocking the plate with his knee by the catcher.

I think AC was still out, but, yes. No way you can see the foot and the plate from there.

Your right it was close and I think he still prob woulda called him out and i could accept that if he was actually in a good position to make a call. But no way he saw anything but the ball beat him, just ridiculous

No matter the outcome, that was a terrific AB by Gomes against a very good pitcher. Took that 2-1 pitch that he couldn't do anything with, worked it full, had a good cut on a pitch to hit. Sucks that he chased to K, but that was a professional AB.

He's not afraid to hit with two strikes. I love his confidence in the box.

Continuing their mission of claiming Indians castoffs, the Yankees claimed David Huff.

I thought that too. I umpire high school ball and when I saw the position by the ump I was surprised. He should been more towards the backstop.

That was a clusterfuck, but with the rain, wind, and the dark skies, it had to be really hard to see that mile high pop up. Heads up play by Gomes.

Gotta give Kazmir a lot of credit. He battled today.

Abandoned the slider for the third straight start. Not totally sure why. That's such an effective pitch for him.

LOL.

That pitch to Brantley was much better than the one that Gomes was rung up on.

And he throws the same pitch and gets the correct call on the next one.

Not really. Leads evaporate all the time in this park.

I am worried about Pestano, though. Velo down. Command way down. This isn't just shaking off the rust. This is a serious concern.
