He threw 79.2 innings last season. 55.2 in low leverage.

Rogers struggled in medium and high leverage situations. Almost anybody can pitch in blowouts or when trailing. I don't know why Toronto made that trade, but I'd like to personally shake Anthopoulos's hand for it.

About time somebody remembered that Brendan Ryan is still Brendan Ryan.

Swisher's wife needs to pop that kid out today so we can have him against Detroit and when we go to Boston.

King Felix is hurt...no other explanation. Stiff back last outing. He can't have his best stuff.

He's a train wreck.

He's thrown out one baserunner and it was Mike Trout. Because he fell down on the way to second and still almost beat it.

Yeah there was a reason he was labeled as more of a future DH/1b than a catcher...starting to see why...maybe Seattle should too

Also it looks like Montero is not being a good enough grinder.

Masterson now has 71 strikeouts and 26 walks in 70 innings.

Wasn't Santana leading the league in BA earlier this year? I bet he dropped below .300 with that last out.

With Yan playing so well I suspect we'll see more and more of Santana at 1B. That should help him get his legs back under him. To compensate, his hips when he swings are all over the place. And then his leg kick is too high so his swing is now super long.

At this point I'd be willing to take another month of suck from Santana just so long as we keep winning games.

Ballgame! Damn, this is FUN! I gotta get to Cleveland!

Another series win no matter what happens Monday.

Halladay was hurt when we beat him, too. It's great being the first team in ML history to beat seven Cy Young winners before June 1, but we were lucky with a couple of them not being 100%.

Man, we got some pitchers who are locked in right now. Masterson, Ubaldo, and McAllister are rocking. Of course, Seattle came in ranked 14th out of 15 in runs scored, so take it with a grain of salt, but they're still pitching extremely well.

Masterson already has 7 wins and he'll get a couple more starts this month. He should make his first All-Star appearance if he can keep this up, or even close to it.

we haven't lost any of our last 10 series. That's a nice arrangement, got 3 two game sets and a 4 game set against Boston coming up too, so that streak has a good chance of sticking

Another great win yesterday..... didn't get a chance to watch live but I caught it on delay and stayed away from the internet beforehand so I was in the dark.

One thing i didn't get is why Francona used Hill again?!

I know we have another LHP in Huff in the pen but, he's really a long man only. So, with another game today against this lefty heavy lineup, using your match-up lefty reliever for the 3rd straight game when it's 6-0 in the 8th seems odd to me.

Pretty much means he's unavailable today.

Hey BP, You got the game thread today?

I checked Hoyle, and per Rule 5.19 (c) (1) Clause A (2.01): I think you're the guy.

The rule is vague, and probably not enforced by major league umpires.
But to be safe, I think you better start the thread. I will need to check in prior to game time again.
