Now that Underwood has made us aware of that stat, Saunders will shut us down (as usual)

Best Indians promo song ever.

Glad to see EZ Mac do better out of the stretch. He really struggled with that earlier this year.

Thanks for picking me up. It was all I could do to start the game thread.

Rough morning- took the 15yo family dog in to get put down. Not fun.

We waited for our oldest to come back home from college to do it. Got the dog as a 6wk old puppy when she was in kindergarten and now had it put down the week after college graduation.

Anyway, sorry if TMI. Need a Tribe win!

I just spent the last hour trying to figure out how to convert that "Indians Fever" song into a ringtone and I can say with absolute certainty that iTunes fucking sucks a bag of dicks.

Sucks man. We put my childhood dog down 4 and a half years ago. We got him when I was 8 and I drove home from John Carroll on a Tuesday night to say goodbye to him. My dad took him in the next day. I still have his tags on my key chain to this day.

Uh...Perez is not our best reliever. And he's not even the 2nd best, or 3rd best. I'm sick of trotting him out there in the 9th just because he was here before anyone else. Tenure should not guarantee the closer job...results should.

I have a feeling that Francona won't continue doing that either. Chiz wasn't permitted to struggle forever.

What ticks me off is that when (positive thinking here) we pull this out in the 9th inning Perez gets the win. Just ain't fair...

He isn't going to replace him tonight. I'm simply saying that I don't think Francona would allow him to struggle for long if that happened. He wouldn't allow him to close simply because he's the "closer".

I think we need to calm down over CP and not worry just yet. His appearances in games have been so irregular and all over the place (especially around the mid to late April) given the nature of games that were played during a 2 week stretch that I think it was likely he was going to be a little 'off' in an appearance or two.

Kipnis continues to hammer left-handed pitching. He drove in a run with a single, then got that another on an 0-2 pitch to start it off in the 9th, then Drooby slammed one off the wall to set up the win.

Am I wrong or did Montero not have to come off the plate to field that throw? How the hell do you take your foot off the plate in a situation like that? Tribe caught a huge break there.

Perez is 6-for-8 in saves. Not great, but it's early yet. He might reel off ten in a row.

No sooner did Manning say that left-handed hitters are 2-for-27 against him this year than two of them hit back-to-back jacks. Thanks, Rick. Keep your mouth shut from now on.

Still, I don't think he's worth $7.3 million. It will be interesting to see how hard the Indians try to re-sign him. The news that Pestano has been dealing with an elbow problem for two years might factor into it.

Reynolds is so strong he hit a HR into the wind with one knee on the ground.

Gomes with a hit and another laser throw to second to nail a baserunner. He plays - Tribe wins. It's almost automatic.

If we split the next two I'll be ecstatic.
