I know- he's not.

Good news though- been saving my pro-Indians powers for this game.

Cheer up...we'll get King Felix this weekend. Not crazy about Santana (the human pin-cushion) starting today. Woulda been a good time to get him a couple days off. He is officially my "Pick-To-Not-Click."

Go Tribe.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Character game. 14 games in 13 days. Off day tomorrow. It's been a grind for them of late with some close games. I want to see them take good at bats and get good swings off of Hamels. Hamels has struggled this year because of a spike in BB% and HR/9. Drop in K rate. He's also gotten 16 runs of offense in eight starts.

The Indians have to get to him early. Can't let guys like Hamels settle in.

Little worried about Kluber here. Susceptible to the long ball and the ball's going to carry really well during the day in Philly. The key for him is to work his offspeed stuff early. The Phillies have never seen him. If he establishes the change and the curve, it'll make the cutter and 92-94 heater look better. He's throwing 80.3% fastballs/cutters this year. There's no element of surprise in that. Show them something different and plant the seeds in their heads.

I won't be crushed if they lose this one because it's not an ideal spot, but I'd be really excited to get this game.

That was a huge hit by Reynolds...... after making Hamels throw nearly 80 pitches thru 3, we needed to get on the board.

Agree.

Man, is Santana's swing getting long or what?

I don't know why anybody ever throws Swisher anything but a changeup.

I would guess Chollie will bring Hamels back for the 6th, with the bottom of the lineup coming up.

Pitcher spot due up fourth. Safe to say Hamels is done if anybody reaches. Possible double switch if not.

Kluber threw that one terrific changeup and never went back to it. With two pitches to burn.

Missing Santana's glove by the width of the plate all of the sudden.

Kluber due up third. That might be it for him. Off day tomorrow, so the entire pen should be available.

If anyone got on in front of him, I would've gone for a PH. But, bases empty and two out I agree with Tito letting him hit and trying to get another inning out of him.

My online gameday thing showed Rollins hitting his double off a change. Disagree?

Needed Kluber to bat for the quality AB ahead of Stubbs.

Yeah, we're certainly in better shape going to the pen in the 7th instead of the 6th. But, we'll see if it works out.

No idea. At this point, you can try to get the 7th out of Kluber and then use Smith and Perez. May not be a save situation, but he hasn't pitched since Saturday.

Something. Needs a knuckle curve or a change. Something else with downward action to change the eye level for the fastball that he can't spot.

Really doubt they send down Hagadone. Lefty-heavy lineups with SEA, BOS, CIN, TB over the next couple of weeks.

This.

The Cleveland Indians have officially restored my faith in humanity for the next 50 hours or so. Off to see the Pirates and Brewers in Picksburgh 2-nite.
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

How's this for food for thought? If the Indians lose Friday night against Seattle, it'll be their worst record after 40 games in the last three seasons. 26-14 in 2011, 23-17 in 2012, and currently 22-17.

After that, they went 54-68 in 2011 and 45-77 in 2012. Going to assume this year's team does not do that.

Not till mid-September at home. Hopefully they'll be just what the Tribe needs to clinch a play-off spot on the 22nd. ;-) ;)
