http://www.theclevelandfan.com/clevelan ... dand-crazy

Just a lazy, nonsensical piece. One of the worst I've ever read here.

Look, everyone is entitled to their opinion on LBJ and can "feel" however the fuck they want. But to spew out something like this without considering or mentioning the state of the roster when LBJ left, the fact that Mike Brown had just spent three straight years choking in huge playoff series where he was cleary destroyed by Doc and SVG, the fact that The Decision was ridiculous but we're the same society that cheered for joy when 17 year old Vonn Bell went on National TV this past February to spurn his homestate and childhood favorite school to come to OSU, etc is ridiculous.

If you're going to write on this shit try and actually write on it.

And I'm not even touching on your "feeling" that Grant and Mike Brown don't want LeBron back. I have a *feeling* too, I feel like today an army of giant unicorns is going to march on Cleveland and decimate the city.

Is there a difference between pridelessly longing for LBJ's return and being OK with it if he does (which he won't)? Because I can't think of any really good reason to actively root against it. But I'm not falling asleep at night gazing up at my LeBron poster and hoping beyond hope that this miracle happens.

Sure, I was pissed...3 years ago. But, like e0y points out, that team was a mess that was doomed to failure. LBJ absolutely did the right thing for himself by leaving. It's pretty clear in hindsight and I'm not sure how it can be argued any other way.

Bring them on. I'll ride one of those fuckers to Miami and drag LeBron back here myself.

Unicorns love me.

LBJ= Heat, Laker, or Knick until he is 38.

The real question is Windhorst, who has fed into all of this....

Is he trolling Cavs fans or being upfront? And is Broussard feeding into it (he's probably more connected than Windy to James, it's one of the few real connections he has) to save LBJ's face or out of honesty?

Gawd Broussard sucks.

It was my mistake and I blame Buffum.

Just doing a public service Jerry. Try and write something beyond "You shouldn't feel this way because someone was mean" and "I gotta feeeeeeeling!!!"

Christ man, have some dignity. The LBJ thing isn't just being beaten into the ground, it's a murdered horse. If you're going to tackle it I recommend avoiding transcribing a drunk caller you heard on the WKNR late night show.

Jerry, just FTR since I posted in this thread. I don't think it was a bad article. But I'm in the "I'd take LeBron back" camp and have been for some time. So I disagree with the POV of the article, I guess. And it's a legit point you are making, I'm just on the other side of it.

But that's different than saying "horrible article", which I'm not. I read/enjoy literally everything that you write here.

"Stop thinking something because someone was mean" is not a point.

That is not an analytical look at a situation.

It's drunken radio caller shit. Up your game.

When I refer to Jerry's point, I'm not refering to "Stop thinking something because someone was mean". I agree with you on that. I was refering to the people like Jerry who are basically saying "fuck that guy in the ear, I don't want him back." I don't feel that way, but I'm not about to tell someone else that they should "get over it."

Exactly. If you're going to tell other people how they should feel about something try and bring a real point to the table and look at a situation from a balanced perspective. Otherwise starting writing a lot of I's and forget the entire idea of preaching to others.

I couldn't give a fuck what he does. It's almost certain that he won't come back, and even if there was a chance he could, hoping and praying for it - AGAIN - is, to paraphrase Haslams's Flying J boys, like asking for a fresh round of buttfucking after he done buttfucked you a couple years ago.

I hit the Ignore button on LeBron a couple years ago and it'll probably stay there for the rest of his career.
It's only progress if you eventually get somewhere.

Unless you're really into buttfucking, at which point.....we're going to need a couple analogies, really.

I'm with mother on this one. LeBron made the right decision. He didn't owe the Cavs or their fans anything after seven years of excellence. I got nothing against him.

If he comes back, great. He's the best player in the league. Put him in with the group they have now plus Noel and you have a perfectly balanced combination of players; explosive offense, defense, rebounding, depth - the whole enchilada. They might have to let go of a couple of complementary pieces like Speights, Miles, or Livingston to fit the salaries in, but I think that's doable.

If he keeps his talents in South Beach or goes to a major media market, that's fine too. Except it means the Cavs will probably end up like the Daugherty/Price/Nance Cavs, always a bridesmaid but never a bride.

I'm hoping he comes back because we haven't had a championship since '64, but I'm not losing any sleep over it.

So you'd say his pluses far outweigh his minuses?

What I would say is that if LeBron comes back and teams up with KI, Waiters, TT, and whoever they get out of this year's draft, the Cavs will win at least one NBA title.

If he doesn't, I don't see a Championship since there's no Durant or Duncan in this year's draft. They'll probably have a nice run like the 90's Cavs, but no title.

Hope I'm wrong about that second part.
