Curious to see how Kazmir does with a patient lineup like Oakland's. Amazing stat for OAK, they lead everybody in walks against LHP by 14 (2.3% more than 2nd-ranked COL), despite being 6th in plate appearances v. LHP.

Oh, and the Indians lead all of MLB in position player WAR at 7.7. Last season's band of misfits combined for 10.5 WAR for the season.

Just wanted to pass along some pregame reading material from Twins closer Glen Perkins. He talks about evaluating his stats: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/qa-glen- ... -and-math/

I'm trying to remain patient with Chisenhall, but it's hard. That was a really horrible at bat and he's had a lot of them this season. He's gotta play through this stuff to keep developing, but, even when he's going good, he looks like a platoon player.

In other news, good piece of hitting from Gomes.

Is there a free way to listen (as I pretend to listen to this webinar)? I'm not used to this not being there/watching on TV thing.

Not that I know of... I shelled out the $$ for the at bat app for my phone, so I could listed during work and when not around a tv...

The $3 month for the mlb at bat app on the iPhone is a huge bargain. I can fall asleep to west coast baseball every night.

Thanks guys, I'll have to look into that. I have the free app which I use daily, but never really looked into what the premium app included because I'm very rarely stuck behind a desk on a perfectly beautiful day while a game is going on.

So, everyone has a hit.

6 of 9 have driven in a run.
8 of 9 have scored a run.
3 more HR.

That is in the bottom of 5.

Yea, I shelled out the $20 for all year... I listen to whatever game is on whenever the tribe isn't playing.

KKKKKKKKKKazmir hitting 96mph on pitch 101

I think these kind of performances from him are here to stay. Great fastball and his secondary pitches look dirt as well.

Woke up with a smile on my face (getting a nooner with Hammy does that to an old girl ;-) ;) ) wondering if Tito could pull the same kind of first-year-as-manager trick he did with the Red Sux. I know this Tribe lineup is not like the 2004 Sox team, but...

If Barnes goes back for Bourn, Albers may have to be DFA'd to bring Pestano back on May 15 (or whenever he's ready). Could send down Hagadone, but I think they like the idea of a second LHP.

Fantastic job there. Not going to go down as a high leverage appearance because it's 9-2, but bases loaded, nobody out is a big spot on an individual level.

Free and easy 97. Pretty decent breaking ball. Good to see him bounce back in a pretty big way there after the Parmelee HR six days ago.

Just got a text from my brother. He went with a friend and friend's 1 year old daughter for her first game. Daddy caught Nick Swisher's Home Run! Awesome to go along with the sweep!

Another really well played game.

Gotta love what we're seeing from Kazmir.... fastball explosive through the zone and a sharp breaker..... still too many foul balls/long ABs getting his pitch count up, but "stuff wise" he's looking sharp.

The real test of this teams credentials starts tomorrow. Still, 10 out of 11 against anyone is good going!

Saw that pic RT'd by the Indians Twitter feed. Pretty cool.

More importantly, his daughter is 1-0.

Not a good day for fat, right-handed pitchers, that's for sure.

Kazmir with 10 K's and 0 walks in six innings. Wow. And that's against the team that leads the AL in scoring and stacked the deck with right-handed hitters. He whiffed Cespedes three times in three at-bats.

Good starting pitchers cost so much money that the Indians can't afford to pay for five of them. So they need to find them under rocks like they did with Kazmir, or trade for them when they're still in A or AA like McAllister. Or when they're still a fringe major leaguer like Masterson. You have to love how they built this staff, and now they have Bauer and Carrasco on the launching pad.

Kipnis still isn't getting a lot of hits but he's hitting the big flies. He's developing a nice power stroke to the opposite field. In fact, the Tribe's first four hits off Colon were to the opposite field. Reynolds went the other way on both his double and his HR. If you can wait longer on the pitch and go the other way and still hit with power, you're a formidable hitter.

Chiz is still struggling with pitch selection. Hope he gets it together soon.

Tigers just lost to the Nats so, we actually head into the DET series just a game out of the division lead..... not that standings mean anything at this time of year but, who would've thought we would be saying that two weeks ago?!

Beat me to it daz! I was listening to the Detroit feed and had the same thought when the game ended I now have the Twins feed for tonight's game at Fenway and am choking down the sick feeling in my gut while I'm cheering on the Red Sux. Can't stand the Sux...unless they're playing one of the competition in the Central.

Well, we swept Oakland and outscored them 21-10 over four games. That was pretty impressive as they came in four games over .500. Now we take on the big dogs this weekend.

If the Indians win 12 of their next 13 games they'll match their 2011 start of 30-15. And we know what happened after that.
